August 21st, 2:45 PM"Mommy look!" Charli yelled as she ran around in the grass blowing bubbles with her little friends from pre-school.
I smiled. "I see baby, be careful!" I continued to put some more food out on the table for the guests.
Today was my sweet baby Charli's 4th birthday party and I made sure that it was everything that she wanted. With the help of Kendra, we were able to throw Charli a Frozen-themed party. I didn't what it was about Frozen and these little girls, but they were obsessed with it.
I'm so glad that her birthday is finally here because I was stressing myself out, making sure that everything was perfect for her.
"Are you happy with how everything turned out?" I heard Kendra ask me as she helped me set up the table where the kids would eat.
"Yeah, as long as the birthday girl is happy, I'm happy," I said while shrugging.
"Is her father going to decide to show up?"
I looked at her out the side of my eye, "I told him about her party and I'm pretty sure he knows when her birthday is. So he should be here." No matter how evil of a man he is, Cain wouldn't forget his daughter's birthday.
"Hmm," she said while continuing to set the plates on the table.
No matter what he has done to me, there is one thing I won't do and that is keep a man from his child. Nothing bothers me more than when females think that it's cute to keep their children away from their fathers.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket as I was tidying up her gift table, trying to figure out how I was going to get all of these gifts home later.
My screen read "Dave," and I slid my thumb across the screen to answer.
Ever since we had lunch almost a month ago, we've managed to speak to one another almost every day. After I figured out who "Dave East," really was, it surprised me that he still found a way to talk to me throughout the weeks.
It felt good to have someone else to talk to besides Kendra and my aunt. Day by day, I would slowly open up and let him know about me. I felt comfortable enough to talk to him about my situation with Cain and he never judged me about any of the things I told him about.
He was like a breath of fresh air for me.
"Hello," I answered while balancing the phone between my ear and shoulder.
"Wassup?" I heard his raspy voice say from the other end of the phone.
"I'm about to pull my hair with all these little kids running around," I said jokingly.
