After a much needed break away from everything and everyone at home, I had to return and face reality. It was refreshing surrounding myself with people that could now be considered family to me.
I made sure I booked a later flight so Charli would already be worn out from traveling & I could put her right to bed once we got home, since she has school tomorrow and I have to go into work.
"I don't want to leave," Charli cried while holding onto Dave for dear life.
He picked her up from off of the floor, "You gon' be straight princess, be a big girl for your mommy aight?"
She snuggled her face further into Dave's neck "Okay," she sniffled.
He placed a kiss on her forehead and wiped her tears, before putting her back down.
I didn't feel this bad for leaving at first, but now she was making me not want to leave at all.
"Let me know as soon as y'all land mamas," Dave said before pulling me into him.
"I will," I said while playfully rolling my eyes at him.
"Nah, cause everytime I tell you to, you don't. You always say "Oh I'm sorry I forgot, me and sweets are okay." He said trying to imitate me with the worst feminine voice I've ever heard.
I laughed, "I don't even sound like that." I looked down at my watch and noticed we had just enough time to make it though TSA and everything to board the plane on time.
I looked down at Charli, "We have to go now sweets so we can get on the plane in time."
I looked back up at Dave.
"Don't forget what I said," he said squinting his eyes at me before grabbing my chin and pulling my lips to his.
"Mhm, I hear you Dave," I said in between pecks. "I love you."
"I love you too mamas, I'll be down there to see y'all soon."
"You only gave me one kiss, and mommy got like 10," Charli yelled before stomping back over to him. She's so damn dramatic it doesn't make any sense.
He picked her up and threw her in the air before placing kisses all over her face.
"Okay Charli, let's go." I said grabbing her hand.
"Bye daddy!" she waved before we walked into the airport.

We landed in DC around 8PM, after having a pointless ass layover in Philly. Charli was getting restless as we waited for our luggage, and I could tell that she was about to be in one of her little attitudes.
"Sweets our things are almost here and then we can go home okay?" I said as I noticed our luggage coming around. I sent Dave a quick text letting him know that we made it safely.
