I was currently walking around my house cleaning and tidying up while listening to Summer Walker, on this quiet November morning. Courtnie came to pick up Charli not too long ago so she could spend the day with her daughter, and then have a little sleepover later tonight.
Courtnie and I have gotten closer within the past month that I've known her. It's almost as if we've been friends our whole lives. So I felt more than comfortable leaving Charli with her for the day.
Thanksgiving was in a couple of days also, so Charli was on her Thanksgiving Break from school. My aunt was planning to have Thanksgiving dinner at her house this year with a couple of family friends and distant family members; which I was more than thankful for because that meant that I didn't have to cook anything this year.
My music paused while I was putting laundry in the washing machine, causing me to pout. I grabbed my phone of the counter only to see that Dave was calling me on FaceTime.
I made sure that I didn't look too crusty before connecting the call.
"Hey," I sang out as I propped the phone up so I could continue what I was doing. He looked like he was in the car going somewhere.
"Hey luv, what you doing?" He asked as he diverted his attention from the road to me. "And where ya pants at?" he smirked.
"What?" I said while looking down at what I had on. I had on a tank and some Calvin Klein undies."I'm in the comfort of my home, minding my business nosey," I said while sticking my tongue out at him.
"Heard you mama," he said as he smirked. "Where lil' princess at?"
"She's out with Courtnie and her daughter for the day, and then she's sleeping over there tonight. So today is dedicated to me, myself, and I."
"Damn she got more plans than you do."
"Ha, I see you have jokes," I said as I rolled my eyes.
"Nah, I'm just fucking with you. I'ma let you continue what you were doing, I'm hit you up after I leave the studio," he said as he licked his lips while looking at the screen making my body instantly get warm.
"Okay," I said trying to act as normal as possible. We said our goodbyes before I walked in the living room to finish tidying up. I haven't seen Dave in almost a month and a half & I was definitely feeling it now, because at this point the FaceTime calls weren't doing enough justice for me. I know how busy he is though, so I try not to make a big deal out of it.
I continued to blast my music while moving around the kitchen wiping the counters down and emptying the dishwasher.
I sang along with Teyana Taylor's "3Way" lyrics and swayed my hips.
