Kristoni Barnes
August 21st, 9:47 PM"Don't that nigga take advantage of you Kristoni," Dave said as he stood in my living room.
He helped me bring all of Charli's gifts back to the house after that little confrontation we had. My sedan was not about to fit all of her gifts in it.
"I'm not," I looked down at my feet.
"Keep ya head up, matter of fact I got a show tonight at 11 and I want you to slide through."
I put my hand on my hip. "Are you asking me or telling me Dave?"
"I'm asking you," he chuckled.
I didn't mind because Charli wanted to spend the night at my Aunt's house. So I didn't have to worry about anyone watching her because I knew Cain wasn't going to do it. You would think that he would want to spend more time with his daughter on her birthday since he only saw her for barely five minutes today. Pathetic.
"Yeah I'll come to watch you run around the stage for a couple hours," I said while smiling.
"Girl I don't run around no damn stage. You a fool," he said while chuckling. "I'm let my nigga Shooter know that you slidin' through."
"Okay, thank you again for helping me all of this stuff home," I said while looking back at all her gifts that were spread out.
"It's nothin', ima see you later aight?"
He gave me a tight hug before leaving out of my apartment.
"C'mon Sweets, I have to get you ready to have a sleepover at Tee tee Steph's House," I yelled while walking towards her room.
I found her in the middle of her floor playing with her barbies, including her Frozen Elsa doll that she had just gotten.
"Mommy, can I take Elsa with me?"
"Yes you can, but make sure you clean up this mess before we leave okay?"
She nodded her head in response and continued to play with her dolls, while I packed her overnight bag. I decided that I would drop her off on the way to the venue that Dave was performing at, so I could save myself a trip.
I took a shower and decided to wet my hair and throw on something simple that I could be comfortable in.
"Oh mommy you look cute," Charli said while acting like she was taking a photo of me. I laughed at her antics, this little girl was a handful but that's what I had two hands for.
