"Okay, I printed up some themes that would be sensual enough to make people want to donate money."

I looked over at Toni, an eyebrow cocked up. "Toni, I didn't say it had to be sensual."

"I know," he said, "but I did my homework and found out that mysterious, sultry, and elaborate galas usually draw in more moola. Because the richer people are more drawn to them, you get the drill."

"Do you always believe everything you see on the internet?" Asad asked, his eyebrows in a deep furrow.

"Do you always believe everything you hear from your newfound girlfriend? Like when she tell you you're the biggest she's ever had?"

Asad rolled his eyes. "I don't have to worry about that being fake, because I know I'm the biggest she's had. You're the only one that has to worry when people say those things."

"Guys," I said, "can you please focus on the situation at hand?"

"Bitch," Toni said, rolling his eyes as he brushed past Asad.

"At least I'm your bitch," Asad said, a warm smile on his face.

I just sighed and placed my hands on my hips. "Let me see what you've got, Toni."

Toni said the paper across my desk, making me grab them.

"A masquerade, that would be interesting," Asad said, his bottom lip jutted out.

"I like Moulin Rouge," I said, nodding over at Toni, "I like this."

He just shot me a proud smile.

"Guest list," Asad said, "I need, so I can start sending out these fancy as hell invitations. Do I get one, by the way?"

"Yeah, I need to know, too," Toni said, pursing his lips together, "so I can cancel any plans I've already made."

"Yes, dumbasses, both of you get one."

"Are the boys going?" Asad said, "you might want to change the theme if they are, a bunch of women dancing around, they won't be able to control their thirteen year old urges."

"Twelve," I said, "they're twelve."

"They're pretty much sixteen," Toni said, "so are they coming or not?"

"No," I said, "no, I'll get Alessandra to keep them for the night."

"Mommy stepping in, I can't say I'm not impressed," Asad said, shooting me a smile.

"I figured your babysitter-slash-girlfriend would be watching them," Toni said, "I mean, she started out as the babysitter, why not end as the babysitter?"

I shook my head. "No, she's going to be there. I need her there."

"The King needing a woman," Asad said, "she must be really good in the bedroom, because I've never witnessed such a thing before."

"I just know I'd probably panic if she wasn't there," I said, "okay, you guys go start making out invitations, make sure to put the red stamp on the front, if you forget that you're fired!"

They both shot me thumbs ups as they ran out of my home office, making me plop down in my chair.

I had a lot going on, I wasn't going to lie.

I had the charity ball to worry about, and which charity to donate the proceeds to. I also had Mateo to worry about.

I was inviting Mateo to the ball to maybe change his mind about working with me. I'd much rather him ask me for money, or work in my building, rather than him take his own life and never be able to provide for his family again.
