"Shit, Pete!" I groans as I pushed myself to sit up. I looked up at were I had fallen from. I gripped my stomach and cussed under my breath.
"W-Wade," I groaned and felt Wade pick me up. He held me close and carried me.
"Wade it hurts," he nodded. We were at our apartment. My dad and pops were helping up paint and set up a nursery. I went to go take something into the kitchen where there was three steps. I tripped on the first one.
"Uh mister Stark-roger," I heard wade say as he rushed into the room we picked out for the nursery.
"Oh my god what happened?" I looked up and saw my dad looking at me. He wasn't looking at my face though. I looked at where he was looking and saw a crimson liquid.
"D-Dad!" I looked up at hin with tears in my eyes. He nodded and looked at my Pops.
"Ok, Wade go take peter to the car, Tony go get any hospital bags, and Pete stay as calm as you can," I nodded weakly and shut my eyes when Wade started walking. He hummed a song to keep me calm. He set me in the back seat of his car and got in beside me. He held me close and rubbed my back. I panted and held back tears from the pain. Not long after that I felt the car move and I heard two voices. All of which seemed far off.
"Oh god, he's so pale!" Wade yelled out as he looked at me. I barely heard him.
"Pete, give me your hand. Squeeze it if your in pain ok?" I nodded and grabbed my Pops hand. I heard him turn in his seat so he was facing me and wade. I squeezed his hand as soon as a sharp pain shot up from my lower spine.
"Tony, drive faster," I heard my Pops say when I realize I was still squeezing his hand. I felt wade shift from beneath me and then I heard him whispering in my ear. He brought up memories which helped take my mind off the pain. Before long we were stopped and I was being pulled out of the car. I felt wade grab my hand and kiss it as we walked. The next thin I remember was seeing only blackness.
When I woke up I heard the pacing of feet and the crying of someone. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. I tried to sit up, but all my thoughts were cut off when a bolt of pain ran through my body.
"Steve! Wade! He's awake!" I looked and saw my dad standing next to my bed a soft smile planted on his face. I looked around and saw my Pops next. He smiled and came closer resting a hand on my shoulder. The last person I saw was Wade. He was holding something and looking at me. His face lit up and he scooted his chair closer.
"Pete, she's here," I had to think through the fog for a moment. When I realized what he meant my face lit up and I looked at what he was holding. It was a small lump in a bright pink blanket. Wade stood up and sat beside me in the bed I was in. He angled his arm up so I could look at the baby's face. I smiled softly and looked up at Wade.
"Scarlet?" I questioned as he just nodded. Everyone in the room was grinning and I honestly don't think anyone was going to stop for a while.
