We hadn't planned this. When Derek and I started dating neither of us planned on starting a family. But when I found out I was pregnant, neither of us knew what to do. I was still living with my father and I was still working as a paramedic. But when Derek found out he had me live with him. Everything was fine, but we got stretched for money. Our friends pack tried to help us, but we were both stubborn. Everything was fine until it was about two days before my due date. Scott has invited everyone to the carnival to celebrate his engagement to Issac. Derek bagged me not to go. I'd been getting contractions since early that morning, but I shook my head and got ready. Derek frowned and helped me to the car.
"Stiles.... you should be resting" Derek said driving us to the carnival. I smiled and held his hand rolling my eyes. I rubbed my stomach and smiled as the baby shifted. I sighed and hummed as a contraction hit. I just smiled through it. When we got to the carnival we got out and walked to our pack. They all greeted us and smiled. Scott gave me a hug and smiled. I hugged him back and sighed.
"Congrats bro..." I smiled softly. Scott smiled and nodded.
"Thanks Stiles... I didn't expect you to come..." Scott said. I frowned and tilted my head.
"Why?" I asked frowning a bit.
"Because your like a fucking house" Jackson said from behind Derek. I turned my head and looked him. I frowned and teared up a bit.
"Jackson!" Everyone said in unison. I frowned and looked down.
"I was just kidding!" He said frowned. Lydia pinched his ear and frowned.
"Apologize!" She said frowning. He mumbled an apology. I was still turned away tearing up. Derek pulled me into a hug. After a bit we went around watching things.
"Derek!" I paused seeing something.
"What? What's wrong? Are you alright?" He turned to me and frowned. I pointed at a large wolf stuffed animal and smiled.
"Can you win it for me?" I smiled at him. He nodded and sighed getting his wallet out. He paid for the game and did it. He smiled and won. He handed me the plushy and smiled a bit.
"Here" I hugged it and paused. I groaned and put a hand on the underside of my stomach.
"Stiles?" Derek looked at me. I frowned and shut my eyes. After a few seconds the pain went away. I sighed and smiled weakly at Derek.
"I'm fine...sorry... baby just kicked my ribs" I smiled softly and hugged the wolf. Derek shook his head and put his arm around me. We went to a few more booths then the other went on a ride. Issac stayed with me and we talked smiling. Derek stayed beside me other than when Jackson pulled him on to a ride. When Isaac went on a ride with Lydia and Scott stood beside me, I felt a strong connection hit and I sat down frowning.
"Woah... buddy you okay?" Scott asked frowning. I shook my head and sighed.
"No... im getting contractions.... I've been since about two this morning" I sighed and felt another contraction start right after the one ended. I cringed and frowned.
"I-Im Sorry Scott..." I said frowning. He frowned and rubbed my back.
"Sorry for what buddy?" Scott asked frowning. I frowned and cringed.
"Stiles?" Derek's voice sounded behind me. I looked up at him and frowned. He lifted me up and frowned. I hugged the wolf plushy and groaned.
"Sorry Scott... bye... congrats" Derek said walking me to the car. I panted and laid my head on his shoulder. I gripped my stomach and cringed.
"Shhh. Stiles I'll get you to the hospital..." Derek said. I frowned and looked at him. I knew we couldn't afford it and shook my head.
"No...we can't....." I panted and looked at him. Derek frowned and kept driving.
"It's fine... I'll pay... and Your dad said he'd help..." Derek said and held my hand. I frowned and nodded sitting back. We got to the hospital and I was laid down in a bed. The doctor looked me over.
"Your contractions are on top of each other?" The doctor asked frowning. I nodded and frowned cringing. The doctor glanced at me. She frowned and left the room. Nurses came and started doing different things. Derek was handed things to change into. He changed quickly then held my hand as I was pushed into a different room. When we were in the room I got switched to a different bed. They set stuff up then it flashed in my head what was happening. I frowned and looked at Derek. He held my hand and sat beside my head. I shut my eyes as I felt a needle then felt nothing in my lower area. It was silent except for a fast beeping that I knew to be my heart beat.
"Your doing great Stiles" Derek said softly holding my hand. I nodded and looked at him. His green eyes were watching something. They went wide as a large mass of people moved in the side of my eye. I turned and saw the doctors working on the baby. They were all smiling. But the baby stayed silent. A nurse cleaned me up and stitched me up.
"She's Alright Sir... just not crying" the nurse said smiling. I nodded and yawned. Derek smiled and kissed my cheek. I fell asleep feel a strange drowsiness fall over myself.
"Derek she's damn cute... nothing like you" I heard Scott's voice say. He was walking slowly rocking his arms. I opened my eyes and watched him.
"So... your saying I'm cute..." I said hoarsely. Everyone's head snapped towards me. I smiled weakly and sat up cringing a bit. Scott walked over and set the baby on my arms. Derek sat beside me and put an arm around me.
"Fawn's here Stiles" Derek said softly. I nodded and leaned against Derek looking down at our daughter.
"Wow..." I said softly grinning. She looked like Derek, but had my lighter hair.
