Doomed. That's what I thought I was. I was sitting in the cross fire. Bucky was beside me, holding my shield. He gripped a gun in his other arm. I yelled out in pain. Me and Bucky were at the tower. The other avengers were on a mission. The tower went under attack and Me, Bucky and the baby were stuck in the cross fight. What didn't help was that right before the bullets rang out, my water broke.
"B-B-Bucky," I looked at Bucky with a dangerous look. He nodded and shot at who was shooting at us. He picked me up and carried me to our room.
"Babe, it's ok. Just take it easy," He set me on the bed and locked the door. We started the process of getting the baby here. The door was pushed in on its self. There was a shot that rang out. Bucky was shot in the back which caused him to spin around. He grabbed the gun and shot at the guy. I yelled out in pain as one bullet got past Bucky and hit me. Bucky shot one last time and turned to me. I looked at my side and saw blood soaking into my shirt.
"Oh god, uh Steve keep pushing," I panted as I did as he said. It was another twenty minutes before it was done. There was a screaming baby in the bed next to me.
"Steve!" Bucky yelled as my eyes shifted. Everything in my vision went blurry then went full on black.
I woke up some time later. I was in pain, the room was cold, and dully lit. I heard someone than felt their hand. I shifted and felt pain surge through me.
"Steve, steve stop," I looked up and saw Bucky smiling softly.
"B-Bucky. W-W-Where's t-the Baby?" Bucky smiled and turned around. He picked up the baby up and turned to me. I looked at the baby and smiled.
"They said she needed a name. I named her Logan May, like you wanted," I looked at the baby and smiled.
"You wanna Hold her?" I nodded and watched Bucky hand her to me. She was bigger than I thought she was. She opened her eyes and looked at me. I smiled softly and held her close. She made a noise and grinned behind her pacifier.
"She's bigger than I thought she would've been," Bucky looked at the ground and nodded.
"She's a bit older than a month," I thought for a moment then gasped.
"A month!" Bucky nodded and looked up at me. He frowned.
"The bullet was covered in a poison. It took stark and Banner a while to find a cure," I frowned and nodded. I looked back down at the baby and smiled. She looked like Bucky. She was adorable. Sadly I missed a month of her life though she seems just fine.
"S-Sorry," Bucky looked at me and shook his head. He smiled and walked closer.
"It's fine, it wasn't your fault. Steve, it's ok, as long as your here it's all good, Ok?" I nodded and looked down at Logan. She was wide eyed looking at me. She was adorable.
