Nico was an amazing boyfriend. When he proposed I had no problem saying yes. When we found out I was pregnant, we were both ready. He closer I got to my due date the more stressed everyone was. Plus, it was like my father was trying to kill me. It was like one hundred degrees out. So along with the stress we were all overheated.
"Will you ok?" Nick asked as he was moving stuff around finishing the nursery.
"Oh. Great! Just ya know... suffering through contractions.... ya know. My dad's trying to kill me..." I grunted as I sat in a birthing pool. It was the only way I found being able to cool down.
"It's alright Will..." he put some more ice in and handed me a fan. I frowned and Fanned myself. I felt the baby shift and slid down. I panted and frowned.
"Oh gods..." I groaned as I felt a contraction rip through my body.
"N-Nico! The baby wants out now!" I shouted as I felt the baby slide down more. Nico ran to me having towels and blankets. He started talking me through what I needed to do. It wasn't working like it should've been.
"Will stop...take a break..." I frowned and panted as the sweat beads ran down my face.
"Will try pushing one more time ok?" I nodded and frowned. I pushed and shook my head. I yelled out in pain as I gripped my stomach.
"S-She isn't moving!" I yelled out as the pain increased. Nico frowned and looked at his sister.
"Hazel call 9-1-1!" Hazel nodded and ran out of the room. She grabbed her phone and ran in. Nico held my hand and frowned.
"Will it's ok..." I panted as the pain got worse. My back arched as the pain got worse. Hansel ran in and frowned.
"The ambulance is coming... will it'll
be a few minutes ok?" I panted and nodded slowly. I leaned against Nico as he rubbed my stomach.
"N-Nico this hurts..." Nico frowned and kissed my forehead. Hazel looked out the window and ran to the door. She lead the paramedics in to me and frowned. The paramedics started helping me and frowned.
"Ok...will" I recognized who it was. It was one of my coworkers from the hospital I worked at after Nico and I moved from the camp.
"Will, we need to do an emergency c-section ok?" I nodded and frowned. They started working and frowned. They numbed everything out and started their work. I gripped Nico's hand as the paramedics worked. After ten minutes I heard the baby's cries.
"Congratulations will, you have a beautiful baby girl" the paramedics cleaned the baby then me up. I was stitched up and helped into bed. The paramedic I was friends with handed me the baby and smiled. Nico got in bed beside me. He looked at me and smiled. Hazel talked with the paramedics and lead them out. It was just me, Nico, and the little baby.
"Hey Julia..." I smiled down at the baby. She calmed down quickly laying down on my chest. She was really here.
