At first I was angry, let me tell you. I was beyond pissed. Then I started to calm down and notice that it was a good thing. The closer it got to my due date I was freaking out. I mean I've been killed, in wars, fought robot, but nothing could come close to fear I felt. I knew that my husband knew I was scared.
"Gabriel, your going to be fine. The baby is going to be ok, your going to be alright, ok?" I looked at Jack. He was wearing his back Overwatch shirt and some jeans. I frowned and looked away. I sat back in my chair and thought.
"Gabe, come on. You were never this scared with Micheal," I nodded. It's true. When I had Micheal I wasn't scared. I also wasn't a guy brought back from the dead back than.
"But Jack, I wasn't a half dead reaper guy back than. I was just plain ol' soldier Gabriel Reyes," Jack nodded and sat beside me. He grabbed my hand and held it.
"Gabe, Don't worry. Angelia said that the baby was fine remember?" I nodded. We waited for hours until our son was done with classes. Once he was done out five year old son came running to Jack. We both stood up and smiled st him.
"Dada!" He grinned and hugged Jack. Jack picked him up and smiled.
"Hey buddy," Jack said as he tickled Micheal. Micheal giggled and smacked Jack's hands away. He looked and me and smiled.
"Papí," I smiled and kisses his forehead he giggled and laid his head on Jack's shoulder.
"You tired?" Jack looked at Micheal who just nodded. We looked at each other and smiled. We started walking slowly, Because of my slight waddle. We walked for a bit until we made it to our room on the other side of the base. Once we were home I went and laid down not feeling to good. Jack laid Micheal down in his room and came into our room.
"You ok babe?" I nodded slowly. I shut my eyes and rubbed the side of my stomach. My stomach wasn't as small as it was with Micheal. It was slightly bigger which screwed with my back.
"What's Wrong?" He asked as he got into bed with me. I hummed in pain for a second until I felt it go away.
"Nothing, just don't feel so good," Jack looked me with a worried expression. I didn't even have to open my eyes. He scooted closer to me until my forehead rested on his chest he wrapped him arms around me and smiled softly. He rubbed my back for a while. It was nice and comforting for a while. Until Micheal woke up crying. Jack got up and went to another room to see why. What happened next scared the living shit out of me. He ran in to our room holding Micheal. He shut and locked the door.
"Jack?" He put a finger to his lips and I sat up. I held out my arms for my crying child. Micheal ran to me and hugged me. There was shuffling outside the door then a loud bang and a force that knocked me off the bed and onto the floor.
"Gabe!" Jack's voice sounded distant, but when I felt him grab me I knew he was right there.
"Micheal, go to the nightstand on papí's side of the bed. There's a red button, push it," sighing seconds the lights where off and the alarm for an intruder were going off. I heard a gun shot then yelling as a team of people rushing into our house. I shut my eyes feeling a thick warm liquid gush between my legs. I groaned and felt Jack shake me. I struggled and fought to stay awake, but I ended up passing out. When I woke up Jack filled me in on the fact that I was out for days and that the baby was fighting for their life. He wouldn't tell me their gender.
"Gabe, The baby's a little fighter. The doctor didn't think they were going to make it," I frowned. I was sitting in a wheelchair being pushed to the ICU. Once were there a nurse showed us where our baby was. Jack rolled me beside the small crib. I looked in on it to see a beautiful little baby. I smiled softly and looked at them.
"Gabe, isn't he cute?" I smiled even wider knowing it was a boy. I looked at the nurse who nodded at me. I smiled and put my finger next to his hand. He grabbed it and squeezed it with his little baby strength.
"Name?" I looked up at the nurse. She looked between me and Jack. Jack smiled and looked at the baby.
"Logan," I looked at the baby and nodded at Jack. The baby did look like a Logan. I heard giggling then I saw Micheal run out to me. He hugged me and grinned.
"Papí," I smiled at him and picked him up. I put him in my lap so he could look at the baby.
"That's your brother buddy," Micheal grinned and smiled at his brother.
"My family," I looked at jack as he said that and smiled.
