Chapter 20: The Testing Gate

"But wait. Can you actually open it?" Asked Leorio.

"Who do you think you're talking to? I could open the first door when I was 6 years old" I said and smiled.

"6-6 years old?!" Gasped Leorio.

"This is nothing, I've been training since I was born" I said and stretched.

"Okay then" I said and pushed with all my might. 

The first door opened, then the second, then the third opened half way and I couldn't push anymore. 

All 4 of them stared in shock as I told them to hurry before it closes. We walked in and I sighed.

"Wooh that was heavy" I said as I massaged my left bicep. 

"Wow you're so cool and strong Y/N" said Gon. I laughed.

"So? So? Where's Mike?" I looked around. 

"MIKE! MIKE! MIKEEEE!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.

"Oi! Don't call him here" whispered Leorio.

"It's fine" I smiled. And then all of a sudden we heard heavy footsteps running towards us. 

"Oi oi" said leorio, fear evident in his voice.

Then the huge dog came and stopped and put its face near me.

"He's gonna eat her!" Screamed Leorio.

I started laughing.

"Awww who's a good boy. Did you miss me?" I giggled, stroking his Maroon coloured Fur.  He kept putting his face near me, as if asking for more, then he stopped and looked at the three unfamiliar guests. He stared at them intently, I turned around and glanced at the guys. They were all trembling.

"You thought you could communicate with him easily, that is, until you saw his eyes" said the old man. I didn't have any idea what they were on about so I started playing around with Mike.

"Okay then shall we get a move on?" Asked the old man.

"Sure"

"Let's go" 

"Okay...bye Mikeeeee I'll come see you again when we come back!" I shouted and waved.  He barked to say goodbye. Afterwards we started walking again. 

"Y/N is so scary" said Leorio.

"Why?" I asked.

"You live in a different world, you won't understand" he shook his head. I shrugged it off and took out a lollipop that I bought a while before we got on the tour bus.

"Gon" I called.

"What?" 

"Do you want one?" I asked and handed him a lollipop.

"Yes please" he said and took it.
"Want one?" I asked Kurapika and Leorio.

"No thanks" Kurapika said.

"I'm not a kid" said Leorio to which I gave him a dirty look and shrugged it off and put it in my mouth. After a while of walking we reached the Old mans house. We walked in. 

"This is my colleague, he works with me here at the estate."

"Guests? Well you don't see that often, well make yourselves at home, well in this case it's easier said than done." The man said and walked away. I recognised him, but I didn't really remember him. We sat around the table and the old man poured us some tea. 

"So you wanna see Killua-sama?" Said the other guy. "Well that's pretty funny"

"Actually it's dead serious" said Leorio

"You've been through the testing gate, that's an example of what this place is like"

"It's gonna be hard I know, but I'm not leaving till I see him. I wasn't there for him when he was in trouble. If I been there, if only I've been there..." Gon said.

"Well it's no use crying over spilled milk." I said taking a sip from my tea. 

"Hmmmm how about you guys do some training? You three can open the door together, there's nothing wrong with teamwork" Said the old man.

"I don't like the idea of being tested but okay" said Gon.

"We'll do it" said Kurapika.

"But what are you gonna do?" Asked Leorio.

"I'm gonna go ahead to the main house and see Killua and talk to him. I'm gonna say hi to Uncle as well. I haven't seen him in ages" I said and laughed.

"Uncle? What are you on about?" Asked the other guy.

"I'm Y/N Zoldyck from the other family" I said and his face went pale.

"Excuse my rudeness Y/N-sama" he said and bowed his head.

"Hehe it's fine no problem" I said quickly. 

"Anyways, sorry Gon I can't take you with me since they won't let me in if I had people with me. But I'm sure you'll be very busy yourselves here" I said and winked, the old man smiled at me and stood up.

"Okay then guys let's get on with the training, I'll need you to put something on" he said and gave them a weight vest. 

"H-how much does this weigh?!" Asked Leorio.

"It weighs 50kg" said the old man.

"WHAT?!" screamed Leorio.

"Here have some tea" he said. They struggled to pick it up.

"It Weighs 20kg and the teapot weighs 40" said the old man.

"Well then, I'll be off." I said and picked my bag.

"Y/N" said Gon and came to me, the others closely following.

"Don't worry, I know you'll be able to open that gate with your determination. And I'll promise you to convince Killua to come back with me even though it won't be easy and we'll surely meet somewhere in the middle." I smiled.

"Okay then it's decided, we'll train hard and you make sure to bring him and we'll meet" said Gon. I nodded.

"Well then train hard and don't slack off" I said smirking.

"Why are you looking at me" Leorio narrowed his eyes. I laughed and walked out. 

"Okay then, it's a long walk till the top." I said and sighed.

"Hopefully I'll remember the way" I said and walked up the grassy road.
