Chapter 39: Kurapika

After running out of that site, we jumped on a train. It went on for a bit but stopped after.

"Currently all trains have been stopped. For your safety please wait patiently" said the voice on the train.

"There's no service. And we don't know when the trains will start again" said Gon, checking his phone.

"That settles it. We'll have to run" sighed Killua. We nodded and jumped out of the train and started running again.

After a while, we reached a stop and Gon decided to call Kurapika. The phone rang and he, surprisingly, answered.

"Oh Kurapika?...Whew, we finally got a hold of you...Yep, can you talk right now?....Wait! Can you give me a minute? I have something important to tell you. Me, Killua and Y/N ran into the Troupe. Actually, they caught us..." said Gon, laughing nervously.

"WHAT WERE YOU GUYS THINKING?! DON'T YOU REALISE HOW DANGEROUS THEY ARE?!" Kurapika Shouted so loud that we could hear him. Killua took the phone from Gon and put it to his ear.

"I thought I knew. But after we met them, it became painfully clear. They're strong. Right now, we have no chance against them. That's why we need your assistance" said Killua.

"We want to help!" said Gon.

"Don't joke around. I won't help you guys get yourselves killed" said Kurapika, sounding pissed.

"Don't you want to know where their base is?" asked Killua.

"I have my own sources of information" He said.

"Do you know all their powers?" asked Killua.

"Enough! Just stay away from the Troupe!" shouted Kurapika.

"You're the chain user who killed one of their members, right? They're looking everywhere for you. If you won't treat us as friends of equals, we'll do whatever we must to help!" shouted Killua and threw the phone to Gon

"Kurapika, one of their members cried in front of us. He said that he couldn't forgive whoever killed his friend. I got really mad after that. I couldn't let that go. We want to stop them! Please Kurapika!" said Gon.

"And anyways, we can't just 'keep away' from them. They wanted to recruit us. And they told us to wait until their boss came. But we escaped. That means they're probably still after us" I said.

"I'll call you back" he said and hung up. We sighed.

"Alright then, let's go to the hotel" I said and started walking, they followed. I pulled out the keys and opened the door.

"We're ba-" I was interrupted when I saw Leorio and Zepile sitting on the floor, snacks and cans of beer sprawled across the floor. My eyebrow twitched.

"Yeah, I'm getting into this! How about another one?!" laughed Leorio, who was clearly drunk. Zepile put his cup in the air and Leorio filled it up.

"Seriously? They were drinking while we were captured?" said Killua.

"Oh you're back! Come drink with us!" laughed Leorio.

"Are you an idiot? We're underage and wait, aren't you underage too?" said Killua.

"So what of it? In my country, you can drink once you're sixteen" said Leorio.

"I see" said Killua.

"You're so unreliable! What did I do to get stuck with you" I face palmed.

"Ah, Y/N, when did you get so pretty" said Leorio. I smacked him.
