Erika's POV
School has been pretty different recently. Tessa can't even stand to look at me. Alissa found out and she decided to just stay out of it. I don't blame her. Chance and Anthony won't even acknowledge each other. Not only that, Jake has been totally MIA. No one has seen him all week. At lunch we all just sit by ourselves. The only people who will talk to each other is Chance and Tessa. But they barely have acknowledged each other.
*Bell rings*
Erika: *sighs*
Chance: *closes locker*
Erika: *drops books everywhere* Just my luck right? *starts picking them up*
Chance: *looks at Erika and starts walking away*
Erika: *picking up books*
Chance: *stops and turns around*
Chance's POV
Come on Chance. Just at least help the girl. After all, you were one of her best friends.
Chance: *sighs and walks back*
Erika: *looks up*
Chance: *bends down and helps pick up books*
Erika: *smiles*
Chance: *slightly smiles and walks to class*
Erika's POV
Well that was sweet of him.
*In class*
Teacher: Everyone sit down. I'm taking attendance.
Erika: *sits in seat*
Teacher: Uh..Tessa?
Tessa: Here.
Teacher: Tony?
Tony: Here.
Teacher: Chance?
Chance: Here.
Teacher: Violet?
Alissa: Don't call me that. But here. *sighs*
Teacher: Erika?
Erika: *sighs* Here.
Teacher: *says everyone else's names* And Mr.Paul?
*No response*
Teacher: Absent again.
No one's POV
Erika, Tony, Chance, Alissa, and Tessa all look at Jake's empty seat. They are all worried but too scared to admit it.
*At Jake's house*
Logan: Are you sure you don't want to go to school today?
Jake: Positive.
Logan: You need to go eventually.
Jake: No I don't. I'm one of the biggest jerks at that school.
Logan: Don't say that.
Jake: I called one of my best friends a slut. (SORRY)
Logan: ...
Jake: Exactly.
Logan: *sighs* Jake...come on. You didn't mean it.
Jake: I know I didn't. But at the same time, I deserve this hate. I don't deserve Erika. I don't deserve my group of friends. I don't deserve all this fame! That car should've just killed me.
Logan: ....
Jake: Can you just go? I want to be alone.
Logan: Okay Bro. Tell me if you need anything.
