Raphael x reader

Chapter 20

Hun throws around poweful fast fists. Raphael can't be as nimble with you behind him. Using his shell as a shield he takes quite a few hits. 'I gotta protect her. Nothin else matters, just get Y/n somewhere safe.'

You are struggeling to stay on your feet after the beating you've gotten from Hun earlier. Your breathing is weird and with every movement or shallow gulp of air your chest hurst. It's probably because of a hit to your ribs, you hope they're only bruised. Raphael is protecting you by putting himself between yourself and the buldozer of a man. Unable to help the person you care so much about you feel powerless, scared and useless. It hurts to see him get hurt. But you don't know what you can do.

"I don't know what you freaks want but you should learn by now to stay out of master Shredders way."

With every strike Hun pushes you and Raphael back, towards where Leonardo is fighting The Shredder. Soon you find yourselves boxed in, with Hun attacking from one side and the Shredder from the other.

"Run." Raph tells you.

Even though you don't want to leave his side you don't argue, just ask him "Where?"

"Battleshell!" You give it your best shot and sprint towards the vehicle. Raphael makes quick work of Hun and throws him back into a wall, where Casey knocks him out with a "home run!"

Halfway to the tank, a metal hand, cold as if death itself has wrapped its claw around your neck, pulls you off the ground. You dangle in the air kicking your legs in a futile attempt to get free. You get turned around in the iron grip and stare straight into the cold red eyes of the Shredder. Without a moments hesitation he aims for your heart with his free hand and stabs.

Leo cuts into the arm holding you as Don pulls you away with his bow staff and catches you. Even though you've been saved from imidiate death the evil samurai still gave you a hefty wound and your chest is bleeding profusely.

Donatello rushes you in the battleshell. Raphael and Leonardo keep the Shredder back.

The purple clad turtle works on stopping the bleeding before you lose too much. "M-mom. Over...there." You point to where she lies unconcious. "Gotta.. bring her."

"Mikey! Get her mom!" Don shouts to his bro and points to where your mother is. Michelangelo flips over some foot ninja, grabs the woman and brings her to the tank.

Everyone retreats back into the battleshell and Raphael hits the gas. They rush out of the shredders headquarters. Any adversaries that are still trying to follow, lose them in the counless twists and turns of New york.

Shredder is looking over the destruction left behind.

"Karai."

"Yes master shredder? "

"I have a mission for you. Find out everything you can on Y/n. I feel she is connected to the turtles more then they wanted to let on."

Karai bows to her master before she disappears.

The team makes a stop to do some first aid when they feel confident enough they've lost the enemy clan. Donatello starts to work on giving you stiches. When Don is satisfied you won't bleed out and lets you go, you slump on to Raphael and start bawling your eyes out. All the emotions you had bottled up rush in as the adrenaline fades.

"I thought I could be strong, s-save my mom." You sob agains Raphael's plastron. "In the end all I did was cower in a corner an' get you hurt."

"No, no this ain't yer fault. It's Shredders. Don't ever blame yerself for this."

For a while all you do is cry. Raph carefully wraps his arms around you and holds you close.

"Raph?" You ask when you've found your voice again, its hoarse from the crying.

"Yeah?"

You shift a bit so you can look into his eyes. "Thanks for saving me."

"S 'what I do. Just don't make it a habit." He tenderly strokes your cheek.

You bury you head in Raphaels shoulder and nod. You feel safe and protected in his embrace.
