Heads up, I probably should've mentioned this before, but this book will contain some depressing things & some serious illnesses, so be warned.
Also, hahahahahhaha Idk what I'm doing :D
"Uuuggggggggghhhhhhhhhh." I stuffed more shirts into my suitcase, while making all sorts of inhuman sounds of complaint.
"Oh, shut up already, Y/N." My sister, S/N, hissed at me as she stuffed her clothes and various belongings into her own suitcase angrily.
"I can't, it's against my nature!" I retorted.
She scoffed. "No duh."
We continued to pack all our non-essential belongings into our suitcases and spare backpacks in comfortable silence for another twenty minutes.
"It... It won't be that bad, right?" S/N asked in a small voice, breaking the silence between us.
I looked over at her, she was looking down at her hands tightly gripping the edge of her suitcase, a scared look on her face. I knew what she was talking about - it was her illness. All the kids in her current school teased her about it on a daily basis, why would it be any different in the city?
I sighed, scooting over to her and wrapping her up in my embrace. "No, it won't be that bad. I'll make sure of it."
💚
I sat at the table in the cafateria with my friends. It was lunch time, and it was quiet in here, the usual hustle and bustle not evident today. Most people probably skipping school because it's the last day.
"Are you really moving to Ninjago city?!" One of my friends, Ayla, asked, leaning forward and staring wide-eyed at me.
"Well, that is what I said, yes." I sighed, leaning back in my chair. "Not that I want to."
"This is great!" Another of my friends, Jakob, exclaimed, gaining a raised eyebrow from me.
"Wow, are you really that keen on getting rid of me?" I scoffed.
"Not that, stupid." He stated.
"Hey!"
"Shh," he shushed me, "I mean it's great as in you'll get to see Sphire again!"
Ayla nodded, "you two were inseperable before she moved to Ninjago High."
I smiled fondly, remembering all the memories we'd made together. "Yeah."
💚
"Seven minutes." I murmered, tapping my foot while waiting for the bus to come. I hope I'm waiting for the right bus.
Today was my first day at Ninjago High. I'd told Dad that I'd spend a week in the school to see if it seemed like a good place for S/N to attend. If it wasn't, then she'd be homeschooled.
We'd chosen an ideal time to move actually - over the school holidays, which had given us plenty of time to unpack before school started for the year, so I didn't have to worry about juggling school work and unpacking.
The bus pulled up and the doors squealed open, I let everyone else at the stop get on before I stepped in and handed the driver the change. He gave me my ticket and I turned to go find a seat.
There were several places available, but all of which had another person on it. Most of the seats were occupied by people who looked either rude, like a druggie or someome who'd talk my ears off.
