So, as you may be able to tell, having your father walk in on you breathing over the shirtless Green Ninja - who just so happens to be the son of a previously evil overlord whom said father absolutely hates - isn't exactly something that I had to go through every day.
Well, it's not like my life had been very normal since I met the blonde boy.
Dad stood in the doorway, his mouth opening and closing like a fish struggling to breath out of water.
His eyes darted from me, to Lloyd, to the needle in my hand attached to the stitching in Lloyd's stomach, and back again.
"Uh..." I said awkwardly. "W-would you believe me if I said it's not what you think?"
My father just stared at the shirtless blonde I was crouched in between the legs of. Then he looked at me. "No!"
"Oh, shame." I turned back to my task of repairing my friend, hoping my father would just leave out of shock. I knew that Dad and Lloyd were staring at each other, but I was too busy trying not to internally expload from nervousness. I don't want to deal with this!
"Y/N..." Lloyd said causiously, prodding my shoulder.
I looked up at him. "Hmm?"
He shrank, still looking over my head. "I think you should probably go talk to your Dad..."
I turned around to see the man still standing there gawking. "But... I don't wanna..."
Lloyd took the needle out of my hand and pushed me lightly to stand up.
I toddled over to Dad, grabbing his wrist and dragging him down the hall.
His eyes were bigger than my success in the future, that's for sure.
"So..." I tried to begin, looking down at my feet and fiddling with my fingers. I bit my lip, hesitating before I continued. "Uh... Where do I begin?"
"Maybe from the start?" He suggested. "I need to sit down."
He sat on the floor, staring off at the wall as I explained almost everything.
I told him about how I'd met Lloyd on the bus and how he was the guy I punched Josè for. I told him how he and his friends had welcomed me into the group with opened arms and how I became close with all of them. I told him that, while a robbery had been on, I got caught up in the drama and accidentally pulled off Lloyd's mask, revealing his face to me. I lied to him about how I found out who the Ninja were, I wasn't ready to tell him. Will I ever be ready to tell him? I continued to explain how, I hadn't spent that weekend with Nya to study, it was so the Ninja could make sure they could trust me with their secret identities. I told him how I'd heard a thump outside in the middle of the night and looked out my window to see the Green Ninja in battle. And then that brought us to the present.
I lied... I lied to Dad... I hated lying, I hardly ever lied to anyone, I hated breaking trust.
He sat there, staring at the wall while he took in what I'd told him.
"So..." He started slowly, "Lloyd is your friend from school?" He asked, turning to me.
"Yes."
"Lord Garmadon's son Lloyd?"
"Sensei Garmadon, yes."
"Right... And you punched a guy who threw him into a locker?"
"Yes."
"And he and his friends are nice to you?"
"Yes."
"And he and his friends are the Ninja?"
"Yes."
"And they held you captive so they knew they could trust you?"
"Not quite, I wasn't their prisoner, they just needed to make sure that they could keep an eye on me so they knew they could trust me to keep their identities a secret. It was either I stay there or one of them come to stay with me."
"Oh... And Lloyd's been stabbed?"
"Yes." I nodded. "I should probably go finish fixing that."
Dad nodded slowly, standing up. "I have to go to the Station to put in an ancident report, I'll be back. Make sure Lloyd stays, I have to talk to him."
He slowly turned around to walk out the door and I grabbed his arm. "You... You won't tell anyone about who the Green Ninja is, right?" I asked, looking at him worridly.
He gave me a reassuring smile. "If I can keep government secret information from you and S/N then you better believe I can keep a secret from the rest of the world. Don't worry, I won't tell a soul." He reassured, kissing my forehead before exiting the room.
I went back to the bathroom to see the fidgeting blonde boy causiously shifting on the side of the bathtub. "What did he say? Is he going to tell anyone? Where is he? Am I in trouble? I think I'm gonna pass out-"
He spitballed a ton of questions and random statements while I tried my best to answer all of them.
I walked over and gently took the needle from his hand, continuing my task. Once I finished telling him about my convisation with my father, I could visibly see the worry disappear.
Once I finished stitching, I bandaged him up. "There, all better."
He gazed at me tiredly, swaying from side to side, only looking away when I helped him slide to the floor and put his gi back on. "Thank you, Y/N." He murmered.
I gave him a smile. "No problem. I promised that I'd always help."
He gazed at me for a little longer before speaking. "Can you... Help me with something else?" He asked slowly.
I tilted my head, humming in agreement. "Sure, what is it?"
"I have an itch."
"An itch?"
"An itch." He nodded nervously. "I've had it for a while."
"Okay, where is it?" I asked.
"You have to close your eyes."
"Huh?" I tilted my head in confusion, furrowing my eyebrows. Why would I need to close my eyes?
Lloyd grabbed his face, groaning. "... N-nevermind..." He mumbled.
"Oh-kaay?" I stood up, holding my hand out to him. "Come on, lets get you somewhere more comfortable to rest while we wait for Dad to come back."
He grabbed his mask, slipping it on and taking his hand in my smaller one so I could help haul him to his feet.
