I'd texted my father saying that I'd be staying at a friend's for a few days to 'study' and work on a 'shit load of assignments'.

I didn't like lying to Dad. We had built trust, and trust was a big thing for me. I hated having trust broken, so I always did my very best to keep it. So intentionally lying to my father...

Lloyd's dragon rumbled as the City entered our line of sight. I peeked around his broad shoulder (shut up, I am not too short to look over them) to help direct the boy to my house.

My arms subconciously tightened around his waist as the dragon dipped through the clouds, only pulling up so it could fly above the roofs of the passing houses.

"Hey Lloyd?" I poked his stomach, still way too scared of the height to let either one of my arms losen in case I fell.

"Hmm?" He hummed in acknowledgment.

"What's your dragon's name?"

He paused. "It-it doesn't have a name. It's basically an amplification of my emotions. Kind of like another me."

"Kinda rude of you not to name him. I'm gonna call him Bean. Or Bob. Which one do you like more?" I asked, recieving an amused laugh from Lloyd and a purr-like rumble form the dragon's throat.

"Why those names specifically?" He asked turning slightly to look at me.

I shrugged, avoiding eye contact. "Just popped into my head."

"I suppose Bean makes more sense, but can you not come up with a cooler name?"

"How dare you! Bean is an awesome name!" I defended.

Lloyd smiled, raising an eyebrow. "Sure."

I pouted at him, returning my attention to the houses below us as I petting the dragon. "I dub thee, Sir Bean, noble steed of the mighty Green Ninja. And my new best friend."

Lloyd laughed at my antics, so I pointed ahead of him, bringing my arm high enough so that he nearly tilted sideways as I lifted his arm with my mine. "He-"

"That one." I cut him off. "You can't talk when we get there, you'll surely wake Dad or S/N."

"But I like talking."

"Just put it on hold, Jay junior."

"That's insulting."

"Are you going to actually land so I can get off?" I asked, ignoring his sulking.

Lloyd turned his face to me, a playfully evil grin playing on his lips. "Why land?" He said, and Bean disappeared. Oh, I forgot he did that. I covered my mouth with my hands and my eyes widened as we fell.

Lloyd pulled me into him, somehow landing silently on the roof.

I curled my hand into a fist, gipping the fabric of his shirt as he let me go. "Please stop doing that before I have a damn heartattack Lloyd." I wisper-yelled at him before letting his shirt go and pushing him away.

He shrugged smugly, smirking.

I lead the way to the edge of the house, just above my room. I clumsily managed to get myself down onto the windowsill without help, although I did nearly fall a few times, eecieving stressed looks from Lloyd that I ignored.. I opened the window quietly, peeking in to make sure no one was around.

"Coast is clear." I murmered, clambering in and nearly tripping over nothing.

I made my way over to my school bag, stuffing all the essential school supplies, and then all the underwear and socks and toiletries I thought I'd need.

Lloyd came in, looking around.

It was just after 11:00PM, so Dad would definitely be asleep.

I told Lloyd to stay in my room as I made my way to the bathroom, grabbing my toothbrush, toothpaste, creams and soap, before heading back, my arms full of my bathing supplies.

I packed them all in a plastic bag and put them in my suitcase, which I then proceeded to pack with clothes.

Lloyd watched, playing with a scarf for a few minutes before putting it on and grabbing one of my books.

I rolled my eyes before continuing on with my duty.

He could at least help.

💚

We didn't go back to the Swanky Flying Njnja Pirate Ship. We arrived in front of a red monestry. The supports and patio were a deep brown wood, the walls red, and the tiles of the roof and stone of the pathways and man-made cement, were white. A large pond stood proudly out the front of the monestry, it's water was pretty, but probably very dirty.

Bean landed, and I slid off his back with my full schoolbag. He turned his head to me, pushing his snout into my stomach in a demand for attention before he exploaded into green mist.

Lloyd, carrying my suitcase, lead me into the monestry, where Nya very nearly tackled me to the floor in a hug.

"This is going to be so fun!" She proclaimed. "Like a sleepover, but longer!"

I laughed, hugging her back.

She walked with us, making casual conversation with Lloyd about her latest mech updates and such as he lead us to where I'd be staying. I couldn't help but let my thoughts wonder, and the longer I thought about what I'd been through that day, and the prediciment that I was in, the more stressed I became.

We reached a spare guest room. It wasn't big, but it was cute. There was a single bed pushed into the far left corner, a window above it, a door leading to what Nya told me was a bathroom on the wall to the left of it. In the corner to the left of the room, on the wall opposite the bed, was a chest of drawers. On the wall opposite the door to the bathroom was a closet, a desk and chair pushed into the far right corner, up against the wall that the closet door disappeared into when opened. On the right to the room's entrance, nailed to the wall, was a body sized mirror. The walls were a grey colour, the carpet a worn down brown.

This is my room for the next few days...

I walked in, putting my bag at the foot of the bed, which was made with fresh sheets.

Lloyd put my suitcase down near the mirror, asking if I'd join them for dinner. I shook my head, too overwhelmed to eat.

The two hesitantly left me, and I flopped onto the single bed. Only after I'd laid there for a few minutes, did the realisation really set in.
