"That's it!" Shae exclaimed as a purple flash of light exploded in front of him, "A little stronger!"

"Are you sure?" Miranda asked, "That one almost knocked you over!"

"Yeah!" he replied, "Harder!"

"Alright..." she began anxiously. She threw her hands foward, and another flash threw him against the wall.

"Oh my God!" she exclaimed, running over to where he laid on the ground, "Are you alright?" Shae winced in pain, struggling to stand.

"Yeah yeah yeah... just give me a moment to heal myself." He stood for a moment and stretched.

"Okay. There we go." He paced around, talking as we went.

"So, that is the basic frontal attack. I think it's time we try an attack from behind.

"So... I'll just be standing behind you?"

"No, you'll be standing in front of me, attacking my backside." Miranda nodded, perplexed. She wasn't quite sure how to make it work.

Nevertheless, Shae moved into position, motioning Miranda to do the same.

"Now, you can't rely entirely on your hands for this, as it cannot form directly from your hands. You want to imagine the energy behind the person, and pull it towards me by pulling your hands to yourself." Shae demonstrated it with ease.

"Alright. You try it." She concentrated hard, imagining her energy behind him, pulling it toward him... and he fell to the ground, shaking. Miranda sprinted up to him, cradling his limp frame in his arms.

"Oh God! Oh God! What have I done?" Shae lifted his head.

"The energy. Started too close. Not 'nuff room. To pull in. 'lmost leth'l."

"I almost killed you?"

"If I didn' have 'n aura, yeh." He smiled, "That's how it's leth'l. Ya r'lease it inside 'em." She nodded, terrified at what she had done.

"I think we're done for tha day," he grinned, "Get some rest."

"Do you need to be anywh-"

"Nah, I'm not takin' classes. I'll stay here for a little bit." Miranda walked away, leaving Shae sprawled against the floor.

"Nice work today," Shae complimented as she left.
