                              "Over here Ash." Mekhi called.
"Ash?" I perked up and looked over.
                              "Shut up." Snapped Mekhi.
Ash entered the clearing, looking anxious. "What's going on, Mekhi?"
I stayed still. Very still. I didn't want to interrupt him telling Ashwhat was happening.
Mekhi glared at Ash. "This boy here is an onama. Did you use your chorren on him?"
I was absolutely dumbfounded. Onama? Chorren? What does it mean?
Ash froze. "An onama? I... I didn't know."
"Answer me." Mekhi said calmly. "Did you or did you not use your chorren on him?"
It was clear he had a much better temper with Ash than with me. Ash's mouth opened and shut like a fish. He suddenly grit his teeth and looked down. "I did."
Suddenly there was a snap from above. Mekhi jumped in front of Ash, adopting a fighting stance and glaring at the figure which dropped from the trees. I think I screamed a little.
"What are you guys up to?" The person asked. He was dressed... weirdly. He had leather boots, which reached to his knees and were mostly covered with some sort of metal armor. His chest was covered with the same material, I could see he was wearing a plain brownish shirt under neath. He also had a green cape around his shoulder, the colors seemed to flow and run like water. I blinked. It made me sick.
"Archer!" Exclaimed Ash, with a tone of fear or relief, I wasn't sure.
I took one more look at the guy's cloak, and threw up behind the tree.
"Archer! Mekhi! Is Isaak okay?" Asked Ash.
"Don't worry." Spoke Archer's deep voice. "It's my cape. He's not used to any type of chorren, so it will make him sick for a bit. Have either of you used it directly on him?"
"I did." Ash said quietly as I wiped my mouth and directly avoided looking at Archer and his cape. It was strange to see Ash so quiet. He closed his eyes. "I thought he was human."
I spluttered, "You thought I was human? Well lucky for you, I am."
Three pairs of eyes stared at me. "Did you explain anything to him, Mekhi?" Archer sighed.
                              "Nope. He's too insolent."
"Hey! It wasn't me who- who..." I blushed at Mekhi's expectant gaze, and Archer's curious one.
                              "Who what?" Mekhi challenged.
"Never mind." I muttered, feeling like I was caught up in some high school drama. What's going on here? I sighed. "Can someone please explain to me what's going on?"
Archer sighed and took off his cape, making me gag. "Just don't look at it!" Archer told me, throwing the sickening thing over a tree branch. "Come, sit over here. You two as well, Mekhi, Ash."
Archer sat a few steps away from his cape, facing towards it almost protectively. We came and sat around him. "Isaak, I know you probably won't believe anything I say right now, nor would you understand it. But I will tell you as simply as possible. And please know: I do not lie. Ever."
I frowned at him, already confused. "Okay."
"You are not human. Your family, who ever they are, are not you real family. They do not know themselves, but you are not their child, or sibling. You're one of many intruders, or changelings, if you prefer. You are an onama, a half breed."
"Excuse me? I'm a what?" I could not believe it, these people were crazy. Mental.
Archer sighed, and I saw him exchange a look with Mekhi, but I ignored it. "Isaak, you're... like a fairy. A supernatural being. Our breeds do not have human terms but lets just say you're half fairy, half elf."
I laughed. They were mental. Pity. Then shivered. And I'm the one stuck with three psycho guys. "So, if I'm this... onama, what does that make you?"
"These two," Archer gestured at Mekhi and Ash, "are hendassi. I am an aberidus."
I chuckled nervously. "You guys are crazy."
"Would you like me to prove it?"
"Go ahead." I shrugged and crossed my arms stubbornly. Archer held up his hand. He muttered a foreign word under his breath. Are they some sort of cult? I wondered. Suddenly, there was a spark of light, and a fire lit in Archer's palm. "Hey!" I scrambled to my feet and pointed accusingly at it. He was calm, not the slightest bit affected by the flame in his palm. "That's... f-freaky!" I spluttered. Smoke rose from the flame and twirled closer to me. I stepped back. The sight of it was making me feel sick, again. Shapes were forming in the smoke, I could see animals, wolves and horses and birds and other strange beasts.
It dissipated. A wave of dizziness hit me, hard. "Do you believe me now?" asked Archer. I pursed my lips, still staring where the smoke was.
"That's fucking creepy man." I muttered. "Fucking creepy." I felt lightheaded. He could torture me with that fire, if he wanted to, I realized. These three guys could easily overpower me and do what they wanted to me. I stepped slowly backward. Maybe that's what they wanted, to hurt me. My breath came harder. I glanced at the three of them, they all watched my carefully. I need to get out of here.
I turned quickly and sprinted away.
