By the way guys! Please go read 'Blood Inheritance'... I know I keep saying it's the new Maybe but really, it's actually SO different. I've finished the plan and it's really different. There's a bunch of new characters you'll meet - like six or seven new characters - and trust me, it'll be great! You'll love it! I can just feel it! :D!

Saga's P.O.V

'I'm sure you'll find me,' he had said.

Who does Archer think I am, a hunter? A tracker? Just because I can see things every now and then doesn't mean I can choose who and when and where!

I had taken my anger out on a tree, which was a bad idea because it hurt my foot. I don't normally do rash things like that; I've lived long enough to know that hitting inanimate objects and trees is not as satisfying as you may predict it to be in a spout of rage and passion. However, I'd been looking for the dorky aberidus for a year and the tree had seemed like a good target.

Well, not quite a year... after telling him I didn't fancy being alone much longer I wandered around for a few months. By a few, I mean six. When it occurred to me that it had been six months, I went to Willow's hometown to find him since that was where he had been. I asked her relatives; they said he'd left a week after he arrived! I'd assumed he'd have waited for me.

Well, I should say I'm glad he had such high expectations of me to just magically find him. Maybe he'd just said 'I'm sure you'll find me' that because it sounded romantic and mysterious.

I wondered about Ash and Isaak. Ash was smitten with Isaak, the dear child... but Isaak was so confused. When I saw him look at Mekhi with the most incredulously torn expression it tore my own cold, dead heart a little bit.

Hang on... my brain realised; it's been a year! He has probably already decided...

King Mekhi. He'd done well, the treaty between the two countries was sealed.

"Where am I anyway?" I asked the air. I often do this; forget I'm meant to be going somewhere and start wandering around aimlessly. I don't normally have anywhere to go. I don't even own anything besides the clothes on my back; I'm literally homeless. But I like it that way.

Of course, I wash my clothes when I need to, in a river. If there's a river. There are not always rivers.

"Oh. Ganyan. Hello there!" I exited the forest as I sighted the walls of the familiar town. "Perfect."

It was almost dark by the time I reached the inn's doors. 'The Bad Omen'. I don't know why they expected visitors with that name. I slipped indoors, already missing Willow's warm greeting.

Woah. Since when do I miss people?

This is what I meant when I told Archer that stuff about my life. It sucks to miss people all the time. Don't get me wrong; it's important to love and lose people.... but, when you're immortal, time passes by like lightening. One minute you've got the best mortal friend of all time and the next they're dead. It's like an exponential curve too; the older you get the faster time runs. And I'm old.

The chair at the bench was smooth and high and had no sides. They were made well.

"Weren't you supposed to find me, Saga?"

I smiled, glancing at his blue eyes and face that should be smiling but was barely smirking instead. "Haven't I?"

He laughed, it seemed odd on his tongue. "No! I found you!" He slid into the chair next to me, close enough that our legs brushed.

I chuckled again, the warm bubbly feeling foreign and uncomfortable. I knew what it was, obviously. I don't go on about my age for nothing. I've loved before, oh god have I loved before, and I knew that what I felt when I saw Archer's dumb face was love. I wanted him.
