"So, Isaak... how long have you been on Tabara for?" Julio asked.

I glanced up. What should I say to that?

I felt a tight grip on my arm. "Hey, Isaak, I'll show you to our room."

Julio watched as Mekhi led me away with him into a hallway, and into a room labelled with a huge 5 on the doorway. There were two beds. I looked between them. Just two?

Mekhi growled. "Why'd you have to talk to that jerk?"

My cheeks burned, and I wrapped my arms around me. Why the actual fuck to I have to blush so much! It's not fair! "What do you mean? He's not a jerk."

Mekhi looked at me, eyes flashing. "Did you not see the way he was watching you? Like you were some sort of meal? Seriously, are you blind?"

I shivered. "He was not looking at me like that!"

Mekhi shook his head at me. "So you are blind. For fuck's sake!" He kicked a bed post hard. I flinched and stepped back. Mekhi was angry again.

"Calm down, Mekhi." I muttered.

He slowly turned around, his eyes pretty much burning holes into my face. "Isaak." He growled.

"Yeah?" I whispered. I think I was right. Mekhi is definitely bipolar.

He clenched his teeth and walked over to me, locking me against the wall with his arms. Fuck. Not again. I knew I was flushing blood red, and I couldn't hide my face now that he was right there.

"Why are you so fucking ignorant?"

"What? I don't know! Why are you so fucking hot?"

Silence.

My whole face, neck and ears were burning with embarrassment.

Mekhi just looked confused. "Good question. I personally thank my parents every day, but some people thank god that I was born this way."

I scoffed. "Holy shit you really are arrogant, aren't you?"

"You'd be stupid not to be grateful if you had a face, not to mention body, like me." He stepped away, eyes flashing, but now teasingly. He grabbed the hem of his shirt. "Would you like to see?"

I gasped and looked away, quickly stepping to the side and ignoring my brain screaming yes. "No thanks. Not right now." I think I'd lose whatever dignity I had left if he did that.

Mekhi burst out laughing. "What, so later then, my little omana?"

I made a some what pissed off sound, and walked out of the room.

"Hold up Isaak!" Mekhi jogged up next to me. "You probably shouldn't wonder around alone."

We entered the main area, and I wandered over to the table where Ash and Archer were seated, with Mekhi following behind me, glowering again. I sat down and glanced at the food. It was simply roast beef with a measly amount of vegetables. Archer quickly served me some and passed the plate over.

I stared at it. For some reason, the sight made me sick.

"Uh, sorry, Ar- Alex, but I'm not hungry."

"Isaak." I glanced up at Archer, to find his sapphire eyes watching me. "Eat."

"Hey your eyes..." I pointed out suddenly. "They're really, like, blue."

Archer looked a little confused. "Yeah?"

"They're really pretty. Well, not pretty, beautiful. I've never seen eyes so blue before. Not that type of blue anyway. I mean... I just... can't believe I didn't notice before cos they're really truly beautiful." I blabbered on before I swallowed my words.

A faint pink dusted Archer's cheeks. "Uh, thanks. Are you gonna eat now?"

"Sure." I couldn't help the smile that tugged my lips. Archer blushing? Mustn't be good with compliments then. I finished the meal, slowly but surely.

Ash glanced around. "Should we just go to bed now?" He whispered. "It's looking a bit shady."

"Sure let's go!" Mekhi agreed. "We've got some deciding to do! There's only two beds."

"I'll sleep with you, Mekhi." Ash said it so quickly, I don't think Archer or I got a second to consider it.

Archer and I didn't say a word. Mekhi practically giggled. "Of course, my beautiful." He wrapped an arm around Ash's neck.

Ash shot daggers at him. "Don't flirt with me, Mekhi. You know I'm straight."

Mekhi grimaced and removed his arm. "I was only joking." He muttered. "So, Isaak and Archer, you're alright about that?"

Archer shrugged. "I don't really care."

"Yeah." I muttered. "Neither."

It was gonna be awkward, sure, because we didn't really know each other... but at the same time, not knowing each other would make it less awkward. At least it wasn't Mekhi.

We all slept fully clothed. Archer closed the curtains, but before he did, I saw how dark it was outside. Pitch black. Mekhi and Ash slipped into the bed, Ash facing the wall and Mekhi facing inside of the room, so their backs were together. I slowly went to the other bed and hopped in the same way Ash did, but I pretty much crushed myself against the wall.

Archer wondered over to the lamp, and blew it out.  He placed his bow and quiver with the arrows against the edge of the bed, right next to him. Like Mekhi, Archer faced to the inside of the room, and I instantly fell asleep.
