"Wait wait wait wait wait..." Wolf held up his hand, pausing me in the middle of my sentence. "So, he dumped you because you wouldn't have sex?"
Ash laughed again, tears rolling down his cheeks. He held the empty glass in his hand tight, as if it were precious to him.
I nodded, giggling. I took another sip from my half-empty cup. "I know right?"
"What a dick." Wolf shook his head. "What breed was he?"
Some part of my tipsy brain told me I shouldn't say human. Ash was too drunk to even remember, so I snorted and said the first breed that came to mind at the time. "Hendassi."
"Like me!" Exclaimed Ash, looking surprised. "Omigawd that's soooo weird...."
Wolf laughed again, dragging a hand down his face. "Aahh, jeez, you're so stupid when you're drunk."
Ash giggled again, looking at his empty glass. Confusion and the surprise flashed over his features. He held it out to Wolf for the millionth time that night. "It's empfyyy!"
Wolf rolled his eyes. "Yes, you keep telling me. And I keep telling you I won't give you a second one!"
Ash frowned. "Ah-I've... I've... only, had..." he took a moment to count it on his fingers and I almost choked on my drink. "Just one, though..."
Wolf groaned, and I giggled at him. "Just give him some water. He won't be able to tell the difference."
Wolf shrugged and followed my advice. "I can't believe he is so done after one glass." He stated, handing the water to Ash. We both watched as he sipped on it happily, not even noticing that it was water. "At least you've got some brains and didn't skull it in one go."
I giggled and took another sip. "I think that's the main reason."
Suddenly Ash put the glass down, leaned over and threw up.
"Woah!" Wolf jumped over the table and landed gracefully next to Ash. "Are you okay?" He supported him on the chair, holding him up gingerly. Ash wiped his mouth, looking pretty depressed now.
"Mmmm." He murmured. He looked up at me and pushed away Wolf's hands. He stumbled off his chair and grabbed a fist full of my shirt. "Let's go to bed."
"Uh, okay?" I put down my glass and glanced at Wolf.
He shrugged, pulling some keys from his pocket. "Follow me." He glanced at the mess on the floor and sighed. "I'll clean that up later."
He led us to our room. The brass label on the door read 2A45. "Here you go. I'll see yous' in the morning. Sleep well!"
He chucked the keys at me, which I sadly missed. Ash leaned over and picked them up, looking confused. I gently took them off him, and (after missing a few times) turned the key in the lock. I swung the door open and Ash stumbled inside. He instantly walked to the nearest bed of three and slumped onto it heavily.
I closed the door behind us and found the window. We were one story up and looking out onto an empty, dark street. The sky was littered with a scarce sprinkle of stars, barely visible behind the clouds that had formed.
"Isaak?" I heard a very slurred and quiet Ash from the side of the room.
I sighed, removing myself from the worrying weather. Ash was curled up in a tight ball on the bed, hugging himself very tight. His eyes were wide open and super glassy. "What's up, Ash?" I murmured, sitting on the edge of the bed.
He sat up slowly and looked at me with big, doe-y eyes. "I feel weird."
"I bet you do. You're so drunk it's crazy."
