Yep, decided to publish it tonight...

Now I've revealed that Wolf is actually Willow, I keep making Isaak say 'she' and 'her' even though he doesn't know she's a girl yet! AGH! If I've put the wrong pronouns in there please tell me!

P.S Another slow chapter sorry!! I need more information in this thing to build the plot more... (I keep forgetting that Isaak and you guys don't know what I know lol. Also don't have my story plan as I mentioned in the previous update...)

Enjoy!

Isaak's P.O.V

OH NO NOT AGAIN! My brain snapped at me before I was even fully awake. Stop waking up on the floor goddammit!

I groaned dramatically, my brain felt like an aching mush. I tried to sit up, but my brain to body connection was droopy and frazzled. I also felt like I weighed fifteen times more than normal, or that maybe an elephant was sitting on me, so that didn't help at all. At the same time, I felt strangely calm.

Isaak.

What?

"Isaak?" A soft voice broke into my mushy mind and made it stir uncomfortably. Wolf kneeled beside me, holding his bottle-flask-thing full of water. "I can imagine your thirsty."

I stared at him for a second, studying his face. I never noticed before, I think it was his more relaxed, softer voice putting it in my head, but I thought then that he looked either very young, or like a girl. I didn't know whether or not that would be rude to say, and my brain was to muddy to form comprehensible words, so I smiled lightly and accepted the bottle. I muttered something that may have been a thank you, but Wolf heard my tone of gratitude and nodded.

"Remind me to tell you something later." He muttered.

I nodded, certain I could feel my brain swish around in my head. It hurt my head to think that something like that might be happening. "Mmm... where's... where's..."

"Archer?"

I nodded.

He pointed over towards a tree where the two immortals were sitting together in what seemed to be silence. "Do you need help sitting up?"

I realized that I was lying on my back, holding his bottle awkwardly in my left hand. I think my face flushed but I was having trouble feeling things at that time so I'm not sure. Without waiting for an answer, Wolf slipped a hand under my back to take some of my weight as I reluctantly lifted my heavy body of the ground. I awkwardly popped off the lid of my bottle, and then just stared at it. My hand felt way to floppy to risk trying to raise the bottle to my lips.

With a huffed laugh, Wolf took the bottle from my hands and brought it to my mouth for me. I was definitely flushed a vibrant red now. It was horrible having someone to do simple tasks for you. I took a few sips of water, and then waved him away.

"Thanks." I managed in a croaky voice. He nodded.

"Don't mention it. How do you feel anyway? You look like half dead shit."

I smiled, but it probably looked more like a grimace as I felt more swishing in my head. "That sounds about right."

"I'll get Saga." Wolf jumped to his feet. I considered stopping him - I didn't really want him to get Saga - but really, all I wanted to do was sleep.

"How do you feel, friend?" Saga plopped to the ground next to me, resting his chin in his hands like a little kid. Archer and Wolf hovered behind him.

"Like half dead shit." I repeated Wolf's words. Wolf snorted and promptly looked away as if nothing happened at Archer's questioning glance.

Saga vaguely grinned. "I can imagine. I'm sorry for this."

I pressed a hand against my head and was tempted to shake or nod it to see if my brain was still swirling around or if it was solid yet. "What did you do to me?"

Saga sighed. "Time for a lesson, I suppose."

I think my lips formed something that resembled a scowl. "I don't think my brain can take a lesson right now. It's practically a river in here." I tapped my head.

Saga's expression seemed set like stone on his face. "Better than just air." Then he unfroze and sighed again. "So, chorren. There are different types of it. Think of chorren as science, like at that school we went to, remember?"

I nodded, though the sudden throwback to my Earth life caught me off guard. I tried not to think of my little sister.

Saga continued. "There are lots of different types of science, like psychology, physics, human and so on. So... there is a chemistry chorren, where you are able to control the elements and atoms. They can change the state of matter and push air to push or move other things or people This is like Ash's chorren." I though of Ash using his magic so we didn't sink into the mud.

Saga sighed, thinking. "The biology kind, they have control over the plants and water. They can make plants grow, and some can produce water from the air. Another biology branch of chorren can control the inner systems of animals including people. They can make the heart stop and other horribly strange and exciting things to kill or wound people. This is a rarer sort of chorren. Ash has this as well, though he doesn't like to use it." I thought of how he killed the man who was going to kill me, and gulped back tears. Saga placed a hand on his chin thoughtfully. "He has used it to heal someone though, so I suppose that type of magic is the closest we have to a healing magic."

Saga started playing with the dirt. "What's next? Ah, physics. I can vaguely fit the firey, explosive sort of chorren in there." This made him grin, and his eyes flashed. "That's really fun, I have this, though it takes a lot of my energy."

Archer snorted. "Such a pyromaniac." He muttered.

Saga sent him a wink, to which Archer rolled his eyes. "Am I missing one?" He asked the air. "Of course! Psychology! I have that too, I'm much better at it than the fire stuff. I can control people's minds. Completely, if I want to. But you would know this from experience, wouldn't you?"

My mouth felt dry. So that's what he'd done - of course. He'd taken over my mind, forced me to do whatever he said.

"You're pretty good at resisting thought." His eyes glazed suddenly, as if he just remembering something. "Of course you are... considering your parents..."

My head jerked up, in my peripheral vision I saw Archer roll his eyes again in exasperation. "My parents?" I hadn't even considered that I had parents - biological ones, I mean. "You knew them?"

Saga tilted his head. "Haven't I said yet? I swore to keep your heart beating and your lungs breathing and your brain thinking."

"In other words, alive." Wolf explained for me.

"Why?" Was the first question that came to my lips, despite the need to know more about my parents. My parents, by blood. Where are they now? Will I ever be able to meet them?

"They loved you."

"Loved?"

"Oh..." He shifted slightly in his seated position. "They are no longer among the living."

DUN DUN DUNNNN!

Sorry that it cuts off a bit suddenly... I was going to write an extra long chapter and changed my mind, so I cut it off here...
