:Chapter 3:

“Night, Cory,” I waved to him as he got on into his car.

He waved back and drove away to go find his ever so perfect girlfriends. I sighed deeply. I didn’t want to break them up by any means, but damn that boy was gorgeous.

I turned back towards the shop and I pulled the big metal grate in front of the store windows before locking them. I then lazily walked towards the door and slipped the key in the lock.

“Wait!” I heard someone yell behind me before I could turn the key. I looked back to see the strange man from earlier. He was almost out of breath when he reached me.

“I need more iPods,” he said.

“So you can destroy them too?” I replied. “I’m sorry, but we’re close. Come back tomorrow.”

And with that, I locked the door and put the key into my pocket.

“I don’t have time to wait for tomorrow, the Cybermen are coming right now!” he said and tossed me aside.

Somehow, the word Cybermen seemed familiar to me… He took his weird device out again and pointed it at the lock. The tip glowed green and a strange buzzing sound appeared for just a moment before he placed it back into his pocket and opened the door with ease, running into the store.

All the while I was watching him do all this, completely shocked. I chased after him.

“What the Hell is that thing? What do you think you are doing?” I hissed at him angrily. He was going to make me lose my job.

“It’s a sonic screwdriver and I’m trying to save the lives of everyone in England and possibly the world. If you have anything else to say, could it wait?” he explained as he grabbed a bunch of iPods and took them out of there boxes.

“Sir, you are stealing! I’ll have to call the police,” I warned him.

“Go ahead, call them, but they’ll all die if the Cybermen get their hands on them first,” he shrugged as he pointed his sonic whatever at the pile of I pods on the floor.

“Are you completely mad?” I shouted at him.

        “Absolutely,” he smirked.

He ripped out all of the micro energy transferors and slipped them into his pocket. I was suddenly startled at a loud sound of glass breaking. I turned to see robots in the shape of men walking our way.

        “It can’t be…” I muttered to myself.

I dreamt of them! A few months ago, I had a dream where I was being attacked by these Cybermen! They couldn’t exist, this was impossible. I was dreaming again, was that it?

“You will be upgraded,” one of them spoke in a computer voice as it marched towards us.

The strange man with a bowtie took my hand and pulled me with him to the back to the store.

“I want you to stay right here, got it?” he ordered.

        “But-“

“Right here!” he repeated before running out of the room to face the machines that had once been people.

For some reason, I found myself doing exactly what he wanted me to, then I asked myself why was I listening to him? I didn’t know him, he couldn’t give me orders! So I walked out of the room to find him moving around quickly, sticking the pieces of IPod onto the chest of the metallic menace. Before I knew it, they were all on the floor and didn’t seem to function anymore at all. The man was right about to leave through the doors when I chased after him.

“Wait! Please wait!” I yelled to get him to stop
