***45 VOTES FOR CHAPTER 22***

Hey hey readers ^^ I didn't get the votes, but it has been a week so I figured why not? I would appreciate getting the votes on this chapter though! Anyways, it's official, I'm leaving improv :/ I just don't love it like I used to and I rather watch than do. This is why I'm updating a Monday night.

I posted an update on my stories in a message to all fans, so if you haven't seen it, go on my message board on my profil to read!

I hope you enjoy the chapter, but I know a lot of you are going to complain about what happens in the end -.- Try to keep an open mind and think about how the Doctor would feel please! I know a lot of the last chapters have been serious and sad, but I promise that the next few chapters lighten up a bit ^^ Especially the next chapter, I can't wait for you all to read it :D

:Chapter 21:

Of course, “I’m the Doctor” meant nothing to the Sontaran. The Doctor checked his watch that was on the wrong side of his wrist.

“You’re 10 minutes starts… now,” he said in a final tone.

The Sontaran frowned deeply and considered the Doctor’s choices. I knew the answer, River knew the answer, the only one with a little hope was the Doctor. And sadly, River and I were right.

“Never does a Sontaran back down! I will perish in battle if it is needed,” he said proudly.

The Doctor shook his head in disappointment and breathed a deep sigh.

“You still have 9 minutes and 47 seconds to reconsider,” he stated and pointed the vent we came in through to River and I.

We all climbed back in and crawled until a vent was going up to the roof. Once on the roof, all we could see was the roof and the sky. The flat building was a lot vaster than I imagined. At the end at my left, I could see the tip of a Sontaran spaceship.

“Doctor, do you know which way to go?” River questioned after a moment of looking at the size of the roof.

“This way,” he answered, pointing in the distance in the other direction of the ship.

His voice was angry and dismissive and his steps were heavy as he started to walk fast in the direction he gave River. I automatically followed him, catching up to him to walk along side to him. River let out a long sigh and started to walk too, keeping a few feet between her and us. Every once and a while as he marched, the Doctor checked his watch and told us how much time till the Sontaran’s doom. When we finally reached the end, there was merely one minute left. We slipped down the ladder and started to make our way in the woods towards to equator. After a moment, the Doctor stopped and took out the switch to the missiles from his pocket. Those he could blame on me. When trying to find a way to destroy them by distance with the little with had, I was able to create two functioning missiles with the technology they had, something the others didn’t know how to, even River. I knew it went against what the Doctor wanted, but I barely had a choice. With the Doctor refusing to build anything, the others had turned to me for help. Now the Doctor was holding the small and simple control I had made to set them off.

“I’m not doing it. I can’t. It goes against everything I believe in!” he said, throwing the control on the ground.

“Doctor, we haven’t got a choice! They didn’t leave and now we need to destroy them,” River tried to reason.
