:Chapter 20:
"Sontarans? Here on whatever which planet this is? Of course not! The cold would kill them!" the Doctor pointed out to his frizzy haired wife.
Thought Sontarans were strong and fearless people and very hard to defeat, cold was their down fall. Any temperature under -10 degrees weakens them to the point of death at times. It was at least -40 degrees if not -50 out of this small cave, away from the fire.
"You obviously didn't check the monitor or you'd know. You never learn, do you?" she playfully rolled her eyes at him. "You're on Joulanily XIV in the Sparrow Galaxy, my love."
Realization crossed both mine and the Doctor's face. Joulanily XIV, a human colony planet. The hot and cold planet. The eternal day planet. A misbalance of the magnetic poles have made so the planet does no rotate or revolve around any sun. But it does have two suns on either side making day no matter where you go and how long. One sun was much closer to the planet, making it suffocating with heat while the other is so far, it hardly diffuses any heat to the surface of Joulanily. We were currently on the side of the distant sun obviously.
"Right, I knew that..." he lied and I smiled, rolling my eyes at him.
"No, you didn't. Don't go lying to your wife, Doctor!" I teasingly scold him and he turned a slight shade of pink in the cheeks.
"You better not," River added with a small laugh.
He eyes went to me, then the Doctor, than back to me, suspiciously. I wondered what she knew with her having already met me a few times. Maybe she knew I was in love with her man. Maybe in the future, they break up and he's with me. Maybe he kicks me out and detaches our TARDIS’ and never wants to see me again. Maybe, maybe, maybe… I hated the fact that she knew a bit of my future and I didn’t know anything.
“Back to the Sontarans!” the Doctor said to try to get us back to what’s important at the moment. “Is the equator far from here, River?” he asked.
“No, you landed about a mile away from it early. We went in the opposite direction. The Sontarans have already invaded and took possession to the heated side of the planet and are planning an attack on the refugees to rid the planet of human life form,” she explained.
“And why are you here, River?” the Doctor replied.
“Does it matter? I go everywhere, sweetie. I ended up here just earlier today and was informed of what’s going on. I mostly got you here because I haven’t seen you in a month,” she shrugged.
“And you missed me?” he asked with a cheeky grin.
“Every minute,” she winked at him.
How cute, I thought while rolling my eyes once more. But then I saw the way he looked he looked at her. I mean really see it. And they way River looked back at him. There was so much… tenderness and passion in their eyes. So much love. My cheeks flushed red with a bit of anger and jealousy. I wanted him to look at me like that… I cleared my throat loudly to get their attention.
