I took out my keys and opened the door to Alexandra's house. I basically lived there now. Her parents didn't seem to mind, they actually seemed happy to see me most of the time. I set her down on the couch and sat beside her. I started to play with her hair. It was nice and long and a light brown. Alexandra's hair was nice and wavy. I don't know what was with Alexandra nowadays but almost all the questions she ever asked were heavy. They were so serious that sometimes I thought I wasn't actually talking to the real Alexandra.

“Dev, how come it seems you're the only one who truly cares about me?” she asked. This time she didn't sound so innocent.

“Nathan cares about you. Violet cares about you. Scarlett cares about you,” I said. It was true.

“I know that now, but I've never quite met someone like you. Someone who cares about me like you.”

“I guess I'm just different then.”

“Everyone is different. But your difference is unique. More unique, if that makes any sense.”

“It doesn't.”

“Well, I'm hungry.”

“You have to bring that up now.”

“But I'm so hungry.”

“Fine, what do you want to eat?”

“Tacos!” I sighed. I was sighing too much lately. I have to stop sighing. We made tacos, but when ever Alexandra made tacos, she did it in the most quirky way. This time it was using a fork to put everything in her shell. Even the lettuce.

“Someone is very fond of sweet corn,” I said. She had put so much sweet corn that I think that it was basically sweet corn and taco shell.

“I love sweet corn,” was all she said. Then she did the cutest little dance around the kitchen, spatula in hand. I had no idea why she had a spatula, but it just made it all the better. Then we ate and went upstairs. I was exhausted.

Sorry for another shortish chapter.
