“Ready to go to London, Dev?” Alexandra asked. We had graduated days ago, but we had to go there now. Fighting Reality was in a van, on the way to the airport.
“I was ready since we were on the same team,” I said. I was ready to go. I didn't have family so say goodbye to, and it hurt deeply. But Alexandra became my family. Nathan became family. Fighting Reality was my family. I didn't need anything else.
She giggled a bit. “Can't believe we already get a house,” Nathan said.
“We're really lucky,” Conor said. Jackson doesn't speak much, but when he does, it's always words of wisdom.
“Yeah we are, because we don't even have to pay for it,” I say.
Hours later, London
“Welcome to London,” Nathan said as we stepped off the plane. We didn't talk much, for we were all tired. We just got in the van and went to our new house. But that's when our energy came up.
We all ran around the house when we first entered. It was the coolest house I've ever been in. It had a loft and everything.
“Uh-oh, we got a problem, guys,” Conor called from where I thought was the hallway upstairs. I ran up to find him, right where I thought. Everyone else appeared seconds after.
“Someone call Batman! Oh wait, he's here already. What's the problemo?” Alexandra asked. Still no idea why she called Conor Batman.
“Four bedrooms, five people,” he said.
“And that's your problem? Dev and I can share a room, we have been for a year and half,” she said. We have, now that I think about it.
“Who wants to play some pool?” Nathan asked all of a sudden.
“I'll play,” Jackson said. They disappeared into the loft.
