Lasercorn's pov

The next morning I was awake before Joven. I jumped on him and woke him up. He opened his eyes and looked at me "good morning to you to"

I kiss him on the lips and get off of him "alright come on. Time to get up"

He gets up and we eat breakfast and get ready for the day. We meet each other out by the car. The car ride was filled with the music from the radio. Joven and I sung along to avril lavigne on the way to work.

We get to work early. Joven and I hear arguing right before we walk into our office we hear shayne and damien in a heated conversation as soon as we walk into the room they stop. Shayne leaves and Damien tries to act as if they weren't just arguing. Everyone piles into the office before I can ask damien if everything was ok. So I let it go.

mari was the first one to ask me "so lasercorn how are you doing today ?"

I smile at her "fine. Sorry  if I had you guys worry for a couple of days. I guess I kind of shut down sometimes huh ?"

Damien said "well we are just glad you are feeling better"

everyone agrees to what damien said. after that we go on about our day with small talk. it gets about lunch time and a call comes in through my phone. it's darcy "david you aren't going to believe this but dad is so much different than he used to be. he is like a another person altogether"

I ask puzzled "what do you mean ?"

She exclaimed "he's actually nice. like as soon as he saw me and mom he broke down crying. he started apoligizing for all the horrible things he ever did"

I tell her coldly "it's bullshit. that is all that comes out of his mouth are lies"

She said contradictingly "I don't know david. he even said his biggest regret was sending you away. I believe him"

I damn near choke on my sandwich and spit back "he what ? he is a lying piece of shit. that is all he will ever be"

She drones on about how I might be wrong. I know what the real monster is like. she just doesnt know. I ignore everything she says and my mind drifts to joven. he is sitting by the window in the breakroom with me and he squints out the window and gets a freaked out look on his face. I take the phone away from my face and ask "what is it baby ?"

he quickly looks back at me "I thought I saw..... its nothing nevermind" he sighs and rubs his eyes

I look at him questioningly but he continues "I thought I saw something weird but I guess my brain is just tired from making so many videos today"

I tell him "why don't you go take a small nap on the couch over there. I am sure you will feel better. I will wake you up when our break is over"

he agreed and kissed me on the lips. he went and took a nap. I forgot darcy was still on the phone "david.... hello ? are you there ?"

I answer her "yeah sorry I was talking to joven about something. anyways darcy I gotta go. I will see you friday when I come by to confront father"

with that I hang up the phone without letting her say anything back.....
