You know what the worst feeling ever is? Waking up on the first day of school. Not only that, but an hour before you usually wake up for school. Why would I do this? Well because Ella decided that it would be a good idea to hide an alarm clock under my bed. She knows that once I'm awake, I cannot go back to sleep unless I do something active. So, at 6am, I decided to go for a run.
I put on some white short-shorts and a PINK tank top. Yes, that’s right. PINK! I haven’t worn pink since before I could say ‘no’. I tied my long black hair into a pony tail and laced up my white runners before heading out.
I had heard the new pack move in last night. They are living on the opposite side of town. Dad thought it would be better if they used the secondary pack house rather than stay in the same one as me. He’s very protective of me, even though he knows I can take care of myself.
My run took me the long way around town to where they were staying. I wasn’t going to go in and introduce myself, just wanted to see what they were doing. (Probably sleeping – like how I should be right now.)
I have never seen a full pack first hand before. I was going to treat this experience like a science experiment. Yea, I know, it’s like I'm stalking them, but can you blame me? I'm the sweet innocent girl in pink who can’t handle herself. *Insert evil smiley face.*
It didn’t take me long to run there. Even if I didn’t use my werewolf speed, which I didn’t. This town is really small, more like a slightly large village. Okay, maybe not that small. To give you an example of how small it is though, I'm in a graduating class of 35 this year. Yes, senior year, grade 12, the best/biggest year of our live. And I'm stuck in high heels and pink frilly stuff.
Well anyways, there was no one awake when I got there. I was really thirsty; I’m not used to these early morning runs. Since no one was up... I decided it would be okay for me to go grab a glass of water. Well it is my house!
So I walked up to the front door and silently unlocked it. This house is bigger than my other one. This is the one we lived in when Claire tried to take me away. Bad memories lie in this long hallway.
Take deep breaths Angel. You’re perfectly fine. She’s not here.
I tip toed in through the dark house and into the kitchen. No one was there. See your good, don’t be paranoid, your stronger than this.
Rather than clanking around glasses, I decided a water bottle would be quieter. So I walked over to the fridge and slowly opened the door. With the door still open, I chugged the whole bottle. I felt a person’s presence behind me. I whipped around just in time to catch the base ball bat before it hit me in the head.
The dude had dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was shirt-less. Of course he was, he’s a dude werewolf.
“You know,” I took the baseball bat and set it down and kicked the fridge door closed. “You shouldn’t be attacking the person who lives here.”
He narrowed his eyes, “You don’t live here.”
“Your right, I don’t. But it’s still my house.” I crossed my arms.
His eyes widened, “Oh my god. I am so sorry.”
I shrugged and walked out of the kitchen. I stopped and looked at the spot where Claire had found me, I tensed up.
“Are you okay?” The dude asked.
I didn’t answer. Just stared. I could see me there. Completely terrified. Clutching onto the Kinder egg.
“Hello, you feeling alright?” He waved his hand in front of my face.
I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. I shook my head and stomped out the front door.
