“The first game is ‘Santa Costume’!” Alice said enthusiastically and got up to get seven baskets with paper and other stuff.

“First of all, we need four groups with 3 people and one group with 2.”

Everyone got up and we split up in groups. Emmett, Jasper and Rose were in one group 1. Group 2 were Alice, Bella and Edward. Group 3 consisted of Jacob, Nessie and Leah. Then we got group 4 with Charlie, Sue and Seth and the last one, group 5, were Carlisle and I.

“Well Esme, you have to do it on your own,” Alice giggled. “What do I have to do anyway?” I asked her. The others looked at her expectantly as well.

“So, now, out of all groups we need one volunteer, that should be male and then I explain the rules.” I smiled at Carlisle,” That leaves you no choice,” I laughed. He hugged me to his side and rested his head on mine.

“This game has its name for a reason, guys, so the volunteer should now be dressed as Santa with the items you’ve got in your baskets next to you. You have 5 minutes to get your partner ready and then we will vote, who looks the best. So, ready, set, go!” Alice said and ran to her group.

I looked at what we got in the basket. There were red and white wrapping paper, black tape, glitter and white cotton.

I laughed and started my work on Carlisle. Everyone laughed while decorating. “Carlisle, arms up!” I called and he did so and stood perfectly still. I wrapped the red paper around his torso and his arms, and then I used the white one to place it around his legs and made the typical boots out of the black tape. “I hope we can remove that later,” I laughed. Carlisle laughed as well. Then I put handfuls of cotton out of the basket and tried to stick it to Carlisle’s face. It was a challenge, but I managed it. I laughed so hard, when the lower part of his face was covered in white cotton. “And the last touch: glitter!” I called and got the golden glitter.

“One minute left,” Alice called. I took the glitter and poured it on his beautiful beard and his torso to make some buttons out of it. The last thing I did were buckles on his boots with it. “And stop!” Alice called.

I got up from the floor and put my hair out of my face and wiped my hands free of the glitter. I looked at Carlisle and was content with the results.

I looked at the others and laughed. “Emmett, don’t you look hilarious,” I laughed. “Hey, I’m Santa! Glitter looks fabulous on me,” he defended himself.

Jacob laughed the loudest when he saw him. Our Santas today were Carlisle, Emmett, Edward, Charlie and Jacob. Each of them was unique! We stood next to each other for a group photo, before we helped our men getting out of the stuff.

15 minutes later, everyone looked back to normal. But especially Jacob, Emmett and Carlisle still had lots of glitter on their clothes and hair.

“Now you even glitter without the sun,” Nessie said to her uncle and granddad and laughed heartily at her own joke. “That’s true,” I laughed and cuddled into Carlisle.

He started tickling me and put me on his lap. “Stop, stop,” I laughed and he instead kissed both my hands,” sweet revenge,” he whispered into my ear.

“Next game!” Emmett boomed. “Okay, how about Reindeer Antlers?”

“If it doesn’t have anything to do with glitter,” Charlie laughed. “No,” Alice laughed as well. “So once again get into groups. Each group consists of 2 people. I think this can be a partner game.” So we settled into a row in the living room.

“Now, here are your items.” Alice handed me a pair of pantyhose and eight balloons. Carlisle looked questioningly over my shoulder,” I have no idea,” I whispered to him.

“This will be really funny,” Alice said,” in order to win this game, you have to walk two rounds around the dining table and then come back to where I stand. But the clue is that you have to wear this pair of pantyhose which 4 balloons in each leg and then have to come here without one bursting and have to sing ‘Jingle Bells’.”

“Honestly, Alice?” Bella said exasperated. “Mommy, it will be fun,” Nessie squealed and was as excited as Alice was. “And,” Alice went on without noticing the comments,” we will draw lots to see who will do this.”

Alice handed each couple two pieces of paper, one with a dot and one without. I looked at mine and it had the dot,” it’s my turn,” l laughed.

“I’m really glad for that, I didn’t want my premier in wearing a pair of pantyhose,” he laughed. I mock punched his arm and kissed him.

“Oh man,” Emmett said and held the dotted piece of paper resignedly in the air. I laughed and had to put a hand over my mouth the stifle my laughter. Though Jasper was nearly on the ground,” don’t be too happy already,” Alice sniggered and let him choose the paper. He looked up in total shock,” No way! I won’t wear these!” “Yes, you will,” Alice ordered and Jasper only muttered something.

In all the other groups though the women had to wear the pair of pantyhose; I got ready to pull them over my leg when Alice gave the signal. As fast as I could I put them on whereas Carlisle blew up the balloons for me. I quickly stuffed them into it. In the end, I felt like I had one of these sumo wrestler costumes on.

I looked to the others and noticed that Jasper, Bella and Sue were nearly finished as well. I hurriedly wobbled over to the dining room and made my first round when Jasper and Bella came rushing in. They had a hard time not bursting the balloons and they nearly had to walk as slowly as I did. Nevertheless my lead decreased.

“Go, Esme, go!” Carlisle cheered me on. I laughed and pushed forward. Jasper was right behind me. Then Emmett came running as a mad man and nearly got both of us, but the balloons burst, which meant that he lost. I ran to where the antlers lay, put them on and started singing ‘Jingle Bells’.

“Esme won,” Alice announced and laughed. “Don’t you dare make photos!” Emmett and Jasper told Alice when she had the camera in her hands. She didn’t listen as usual and the guys sighed.

Carlisle on the other hand ran to my side and engulfed me in a hug. “I’m the winner!” I cheered and Carlisle lifted me up into the air. That motion let the balloons burst and it perfectly underlined my statement.

The rest of the evening, we played some other hilarious game including “who is it”, drawing pictures with a partner simultaneously and eating as many cookies as you can. After all of that we all went to bed and all humans yawned hugely.

“That was fun,” Jacob said and patted Alice on the shoulder. She smiled hugely and loved it that we all had so much fun. “Good night, guys,” I called and got many wishes back. Carlie was once again sleeping in our room and we got to bed right after we put her into the crib.

I chose some crazy games, but I think they might be fun;)
