"Time for presents!" Emmett boomed and knocked heavily against our door.

I moaned and stretched. I didn't want to leave my warm place here. "Come on, Mom!" Emmett called from the hall. I rolled around and faced a smiling Carlisle.
"What are you smiling at?" I laughed.
"You," he joked and kissed me.
"What time is it?" I looked outside and it was still dark.
"Around five in the morning," Carlisle answered.
"Emmett! Some people actually sleep in this house," I said rather to myself, but still I was annoyed. It was Christmas, but an hour of sleep more wouldn't hurt.

Suddenly the door burst open and Emmett swung me into his arms and carried me over the shoulder downstairs, only holding me on my feet.

"Emmett, let me go," I screamed.
"Nope, only if we get presents," he said and swung me around in his arms. I started to feel nauseated when Emmett stopped abruptly. He then set me down and I swayed from side to side because of Emmett's marry-go-round.

I held my head and finally managed to stand on one place. When I looked up there was Rose standing in front of Emmett. She glared at him madly and I didn't want to be the person she was angry with. "Sorry," Emmett said quietly and pouted.
"You should wait until everyone comes down on their own and not drag them here," she accused him.
"Sorry," he said again and smiled tentatively at me.
"It's okay," I said and tried to keep my balance by holding onto his arm. Rose glared once more at Emmett and then hugged me.

"Emmett, you don't kidnap people from their rooms," Carlisle scolded him and hugged me close, as soon as he reached me.
"It's alright, really, I'm at least awake now," I smiled at Emmett. His face lit up again and he hugged me as well. "Just don't do that to Charlie and Sue, I don't think they will like it," I told him.

He chuckled but promised not to do so. But that was superfluous, as right at the moment when I told him that, everyone else walked downstairs with Nessie in the lead. Charlie and Sue looked sleepy, but smiled at us. "You're already awake," Charlie said astonished.
"Well, I didn't have much of a choice," I laughed and patted Emmett's arm.

Charlie looked confused so I told him what happened and he laughed as well.

"But really, is it time for presents now?" Emmett asked impatiently.

"Yes," I said and motioned everyone to our huge Christmas tree.

Emmett was the first to dig into the mass of presents. Then Bella motioned Nessie to look at her presents and she did so happily. As soon as all the presents had its owner we sat down on the couch or the floor and started unwrapping. "Yes!! That's exactly what I wanted," Emmett boomed and smiled hugely when he showed me the video game.

I smiled at him and returned to my presents. Carlisle walked to my side and sat down.

"This is for you," he said and handed me a small package. I smiled in anticipation and unwrapped it. In it was a beautiful charm bracelet: There was an 'E', a twinkling crystal heart, a miniature photo of Carlie with Carlisle, a plane, a lily and my birthstone.
"Thank you," I said and fell into his arms. He chuckled and kissed my hair.
"You're welcome," he whispered and hugged me back.

"This is yours," I said and handed him a small package as well. I looked at my charm bracelet, I really loved it. I looked at Carlisle and he watched me with a smile. "Open it," I encouraged and leaned against him. He did so and revealed the note book I made for him. It had a photo of us three on the front and other than that was deep blue, as it was Carlisle's favorite color. He opened it and in each corner was a sentence that meant something to us, like things we always say to each other or proverbs and mottos that we liked; all that was accompanied by individual photos of all our members of the family.
"This is amazing, thank you," he said and kissed me.
"I'm glad you like it," I said and kissed him once more.
"I love it," he laughed and lifted me on his lap.
