Jerome POV
I can't believe she said yes! She has made me the happiest man on Earth. Words cannot describe how much I love her and want to give her the world. I'll show her how much I love her and how much I desire her to be mine forever.Emily POV
Jerome and I get off the Ferris Wheel and head to his trailer. As I am walking in, I say,"Mrs. Valeska? Lila?"
I hear no response.
"Hmm. Mother was supposed to be here. I asked her to. Oh well, we have the place to ourselves." Jerome says as he seductively kissed my neck, which made me moan slightly.
Jerome then led me to the back room and closed the door. He took his shirt off and got on top of me.
"Jerome! What about our wedding night?" I ask.
"Let me give you a sample, gorgeous," Jerome says in a low voice.
I couldn't say no. He is so irresistible. I then take my shirt and pants off while he unbuttons his pants off. He then mounts me and begins to kiss me. I could feel his manhood on my sex, which was making me moaning for more. I could feel his hands unhooking my bra.
"Hmm. You look delicious." Jerome whispers.
He then starts to remove my underwear off. As he begins to separate my legs, I could feel his tongue on my thigh. His tongue moves closer and closer to my womanhood. As I start panting like a mad dog, there is a loud knock on the front door.
"Goddamn it!" Jerome yells.
I gasp and say,
"Aunt Matilda probably saw me walking in. Let's be calm and answer the door."
Jerome and I quickly dress. The door is being knocked on again. Jerome answers the door as I stand behind him, and it's the ringmaster, Detective Gordon, and another woman with short cut brown hair.
"G.C.P.D. We need to speak with Lila." Detective Gordon says.
"She's not here," Jerome replied.
I step outside with him. "Why? What's happened?" Jerome asks.
I step into view, and Jim is surprised to see me. He says nothing and continues to focus on Jerome.
"Where is she?" Gordon asks.
"Uh, I don't know. She was supposed to be home ages ago." Jerome replies as he puts on his coat.
Gordon, being Gordon, always likes to ask more questions than receiving answers.
"You a relative?"
Jerome didn't like where this was going. "I'm her son, Jerome."
"Jerome, when did you last see her?"
Jerome had to think and said, "This morning. She was here when I left for the library." Jerome looks shaky, and I place my hand around his arm and hold him. Jerome kisses my hand, and Jim looks at me with weird and judging eyes.
"Relax, Jerome. This gentleman is just here because Owen and Al had a disagreement. Your mother's fine. Gone on a spree, no doubt. You know how she is." The ringmaster says.
Jerome eschewed the ringmaster's remark. He then replies with,
"A spree? Without her hat? Her coat? Her purse?"
Both the ringmaster and Gordon looked at each other. I backed away from Jerome as he then checked on his mother's pet snake, Sheba.
"Look at Sheba. She's distraught. She knows somethings wrong." Jerome announces.
I then notice that the ringmaster will say something to Gordon, and I move slightly closer to hear what they say. The ringmaster moves closer to Gordon and whispers,
"Sir, heh... she's what you call a party girl. Back in the morning with her knickers in a handbag. Sure as eggs."
"But she didn't take her handbag, did she?" Gordon replied, intended to get the truth.
Gordon then takes his focus on Sheba, the snake, and Jerome.
"How fast does an animal like that move?"
Jerome then says,
"Uh, fast walking pace. They rely on surprise, mainly."
Gordon didn't hesitate. "Let her out."
Jerome looks surprised and says, "I'm sorry?"
Gordon repeated himself. "Let her out."
Jerome let Sheba out. Sheba started to move towards a cart that was covered with a tarp. She then slithered on the top and under the tarp. Gordon pulled the top back to reveal Lila, covered in blood and Sheba slithering in her blood. The woman with Gordon gasped loudly as Jerome started to wail loudly. Jerome fell to his knees, and I immediately hugged him, with tears falling from my face. I could see Gordon looking at the ringmaster, grabbing the man by his shirt, and saying,
"You knew. You knew she was here."
"No!" The ringmaster immediately denied it. He turns his face away to avoid looking at Lila's dead body.
"Look at me," Gordon demanded.
The ringmaster looks up and says,
"She was like that when we found her."
Gordon turned to look at Jerome and me and the people who began to gather around to look at the body. Jerome was still crying, and so was I. Who could've done this to Lila? She didn't have an enemy in the world, did she?
