Chapter 34-Valeska Vs. Zsasz

Emily POV

I'm in a daze. Jervis Tetch is kissing me, and I can't stop it. Suddenly, Tetch is levitated off the ground and thrown to the other side. I look, and I see my kids descending from the window on the ceiling. 

"What are you doing here? I told you to stay with Bruce and Alfred." 

I sternly say. 

Selina Marie chuckles and says, "If we weren't here, you'd be dead, Mom. The correct term is 'thank you, sweetie.' We want to help you out. We can fight too." 

Jerome Jr. already unties me from the chair by the time I want to respond to these kids. I groan in slight annoyance and say, 

"Fine. You can help, but you leave Tetch and Zsasz to me. Take care of Bullock and Gordan. They've been hypnotized, and they don't know what they are doing. Punch them or shock them if you have to but make sure they stay out of the way, got it?" I ask.

 Both of the children shook their heads in agreement, and they headed off to look for Harvey and Jim. I grab the weapons that Jervis took from me, and I search for both Tetch and Zsasz. I don't see them, but I can hear fighting coming from below. Selina is kicking the crap out of Harvey, who is trying to subdue her, and Jerome Jr. is doing the same to Jim. I can't believe I am saying this, but I am proud to be their mother. I go back in my search, and I hear someone walking close to me. I draw my long sword, and I turn around. Zsasz jumps from the catwalk and lands in front of me with his weapon. His eyes look deranged, but he always looks like that again. He roars like an angry lion and charges at me. Our swords are clanging loudly, echoing throughout the whole empty building. Even though I felt tired, I knew I couldn't stop fighting for the sake and safety of my children. Victor knocked my sword to the floor, and I had to use my fists. His sword was cutting me, but I didn't care. I finally was able to kick the sword out of his hand, which made him hurry to pick it up. I run up to him and punch him in the face multiple times. I can see how much blood is coming from his face, so I stop. He's passed out. I catch my breath, and as I start to walk away, Victor quickly gets up with his sword in hand. Without hesitation, I telepathically call my sword to me, and I extend my arm as a shield. I start yelling at Victor, trying to get him to stop. 

"Victor, stop! You're not acting like yourself! Stop!" Victor wasn't listening to me. 

I had no choice but to electrocute him. Finally, he stopped. I catch my breath for a few seconds when I can hear the similar sounds of electrocution.

I fly down to the lower level and see Jerome Jr. electrocuted Harvey and Jim. 

"Are they dead?" I ask. 

Jerome Jr. shakes his head. I checked their pulse, and thankfully, they weren't. Jerome Jr. grabbed Harvey, and Selina Marie grabbed Jim and fly through the ceiling window. I went back to grab Victor to take him and the rest to the hospital. As I scooped Victor in my arms, this felt like the roles were reversed, but I still couldn't believe that a hardened man like Victor could be swayed to act irrational and stay in a zombie state. I start running to lift myself towards the air and follow close with my children. The last thing that was on my mind was Jervis Tetch. When this is over, I'll make amends with Jim and Harvey and help them take down Tetch before he wrecks more lives, what I didn't know how right I was.
