Oswald POV
"OH HELL NO!!" Both Emily and Jim yelled. Jim walked towards Emily and Emily stands her ground firmly. "There is NO way that I will work with this power sucker!" Jim yells. Emily looks at Jim and remarks, "Oh wow Jim. My feelings are hurt." She says sarcastically. "Where do you get your jokes from, the Farmer's Almanac from the 1920s?" I chuckle and say, "How I have missed you both. I know that both of you will work splendidly." Both of them stared at me and advanced toward me. Their eyes, filled with death on their mind. Jim's eyes were wide and dark while Emily's were narrow and her eyes were becoming electric. I'm not lying. Her eyes were sparkling with electricity.
Emily POV
"What do you mean, working together? I can't be with this jackass." I say while pointing at Jim. Oswald says "I need your help with this. Jim is a great bounty hunter and you have powers that are being used for my benefit. I'll pay you each a fee of $25,000 upfront and $25,000 later after the job is done." I look at Oswald and Jim. I swear, I wish I could electrocute Jim to Kingdom Come but I can't. A part of me misses our conversations but after our fight, my feelings have changed towards him. "Who is the target and do I get to kill him?" Oswald smiles and says, "No killing, unfortunately. This is something...personal. I want for you both to track down Fish Mooney for me and bring her back to me alive." I knew some info about Fish but she didn't interest me. If I want that extra money for the kids, I'd have to swallow my pride and work with Jim; no matter how much it disgusts me. "When do you want her?" Jim asks. "Soon. I'm counting down the days until I can slit her throat." Jim didn't look bothered at the comment that Oswald had said. Jim then looks to me and says, "What do you say, Sterling? Partners?" He extends his hand to shake mine. I look at him and say, "It's Valeska, not Sterling." I grab his hand and shake it. Oswald walks towards Jim and me and says, "It's great seeing you too together again, like old times." Oswald walks away and Victor Zsasz was waiting for him. Victor blew me a kiss goodbye and left. Jim and I were alone in the room. I begin to leave towards the door and Jim calls out to me. "Hey, wait. I need to tell you something." I don't turn around to face him but all I say is, "Just because we're partners doesn't mean we have to talk. Now, if you excuse me, I have to see my kids before I'm stuck with you." I open the door, walk into the middle of the street and jump up as high as I can and I start to fly back to Wayne Manor.
