"Yadome, did you use your quirk on her?", Tokoyami asked.

Jett was flustered as Kirishima picked him up.

"She wanted to see it!", he cried out, "I didn't mean to use so much!"

Tokoyami sighed. He gazed down at the girl he was carrying.
A trail of drool was already starting to pour from her small mouth and into her blue braid.

"Oh dear", he quietly said, hoping the drool wouldn't get on his hero costume.

Dark Shadow curled around his shoulder and set its head on the girl's forehead.

"Stop that", Tokoyami scolded. The demon whined and retreated into his body.

He nodded at Kirishima and started hopping down the rubble.
"What's her name?", the boy called back to Jett.

"Kousaki. Kousaki Kitsune. And please be delicate with her wings."

Tokoyami didn't even notice the translucent wings on her back. He moved his arms a bit, letting them fall freely.

He brought her back to Aizawa and Vlad.

"Kousaki?", Vlad asked. Tokoyami nodded.
"Take her to Recovery Girl."

The bird boy nodded obediently.

He walked through the doors of USJ, and back towards the school.

"Yadome", he muttered under his breath, "This is madness. How could you be so naive?"

Actually, how could this girl be so naive as to let him use his quirk on her?

Now that he thought about it, he'd never seen her before. Tokoyami had been hearing rumors of an American coming to the hero course, but he thought it was just referring to Tsunotori.

Wait.

He has seen her.

"Kousaki Kitsune", he repeated quietly to himself, "You were with that boy this morning. Ah, yes, the one that was squawking at me."

The more he thought about it, the more he remembered.

Yes, the three teens that thought he was going to be late. She was standing close to the one with wings, talking quietly.

She was also the one who greeted Dark Shadow.

No wonder it was infatuated with her.

Dark Shadow opened the door to Recovery Girl's office, allowing Tokoyami to carry Kitsune in.

"Oh dear, oh my, what's going on?", the little old lady asked, hopping up from her chair.

"A quirk mishap", Tokoyami said, "She needs her stamina restored."

Recovery Girl clicked her tongue.
"I can't do that, but I can give her an adrenaline shot. Just set her on the bed and watch her for me while I get it, okay dear?"

While the nurse went to go get her materials, Tokoyami set Kitsune down on the stretcher. He carefully spread her wings out to the side.

As he pulled up a chair and sat down next to her, he studied the intricate patterns on her delicate wings. They were quite extraordinary, and he wondered at how stunningly delicate they were and if they could even carry her.

"I'm back!"

Recovery Girl held a long syringe in her hand; delicately, she stuck it up Kitsune's arm.

"Just give it a few minutes. In no time you can take her home."

"Home?"

"Once the adrenaline wears off, she'll crash again. Best to have her home."

The little woman returned to her desk.

Already Tokoyami could see the girl stir in her sleep. Dark Shadow lingered by the head of the stretcher excitedly.

Her eyelids slowly opened, revealing brilliant yellow irises behind her glasses.

The demon lingered over her head, chittering.

A faint, sleepy smile spread across her lips.

"Hey there buddy", she said with an unnaturally soft voice, "What are you doing?"
Her hand weakly reached up to scratch its head.

"Greetings Kousaki."

She slowly angled her head towards him.
Her eyes were wider now, alert. The adrenaline must be kicking in.

"Oh hi there."

"It's good to see you awake."

"You're bird boy from this morning", she smiled wider, "Did you make it to school on time?"

Tokoyami sighed. "Yes, in fact, I did."

"That's good."

Kitsune sat up on the stretcher, wiggling her arms. Her braid was now a mess.

"I guess I gotta go back to class now?"

"Actually", Tokoyami said, "I'm taking you home."

Kitsune blinked. "Why?", she asked in confusion.

"I have to keep you from crashing again until you get back home."

"Oh..."
