Kitsune fell asleep in the windowsill while Tokoyami was reading some of her notebooks. They had sat there for a while, quietly enjoying each other's presence.
Tokoyami gently put her blanket over her shoulders.
"See you later, Kousachan", he said, giving her his own little nickname.
He softly stroked her cheek, letting his fingers linger for a moment. He didn't like leaving her. That was a feeling he could never get used to.
Why did he have such a bad feeling about leaving her?

Tyler lurked by a tree.
He solemnly watched Tokoyami leave Kitsune's house, closing the door behind him.
He didn't lock the door.
Good.
Tyler ran his thumb over the blade in his hand.
Time to get rid of her.
