Tyler stroked the top of Ravan's head. It had fallen into his lap after he had fallen asleep while watching TV.

Tyler scowled.

Ravan.

That smile on his sleeping face.

He was dreaming of Kitsune.

Tyler could see it. Ravan was dreaming of holding her in the rain.

God dammit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The rain sprinkled lightly from above. Grey clouds erratically dotted the sky.
Dark Shadow scratched at her window.
"Come now, Kousaki!"
"It's raining!", Kitsune shouted.
"It's a drizzle! Come outside!"
The girl pulled open her curtain a little, peering out at the dim sunlight.
She missed the sun, but she was too much of a mess to be in public.
She looked downwards towards her front yard.
Tokoyami looked up at her disaprovingly.
Kitsune sighed. She knew he wouldn't leave.
He was different than others.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The door finally creaked open.

She stepped outside. Her face was still puffy from crying, but she was still pretty nonetheless. Donning a grey turtleneck and black pants, she tied her hair into a side ponytail.

"Are you ready?", Tokoyami asked her, shoving his hands into his pocket.

Kitsune pushed her glasses up her nose.
"I guess."

They started walking towards the bus stop.

"Did you sleep well?", she asked him to break the silence on their walk.

"No."

"Why not? You went home at a decent time."

Tokoyami peered at her out of the corner of his eyes. "I couldn't stop worrying about you."

It was true. The dreams were coming to life with Kitsune's breakdown. She was falling through her own emotions.

And it was up to him to catch her.

Kitsune pouted. "You don't need to worry about me."

"I've worried about you since we met. It's not something I'm not used to."

He paused and looked at her feet. They were inches above the ground, and her wings casually carried her down the sidewalk.

"Do you like flying?", he asked her. She nodded.

"My wings are one of the only things about me that I like", she said, "Without them... I don't know."

"They're really beautiful."

Kitsune looked away, and Tokoyami could see the slightest flush on her face.

"Grayson, you're smothering me", Antony complained.

"Stop whining and let me cuddle you."

The two boys casually stretched out across Grayson's couch. They were hanging out together out of the drizzling rain.

Grayson had all his limbs wrapped around Antony and was snuggling him as Antony stared out the window.

"Isn't Kousaki sick?", Antony asked suddenly.

"Yeah, Ravan's been pretty upset about it all week."

"Look out the window."

The two boys peeped out the window.  They saw Kitsune walking in the rain, looking perfectly healthy. A dark figure in a hoodie walked along beside her, but he was recognizable by the beak that poked out from under his hood.

"I'm gonna text Ravan", Grayson said, letting go of Antony and reaching for his phone.

"I don't know if that's a good idea-", Antony said nervously.

Grayson snapped a quick picture of the pair and sent it to Ravan.
