The warm sunlight shone down on Kitsune's face. A gently stroking motion grazed her cheek, and she naturally inclined her head towards it.
"Good morning, my love."
Kitsune opened her eyes and met the greeting gaze Of Tokoyami's red eyes.
"Good morning Toko-chan!", she said sleepily and yawned. She stretched her arms, then blushed profusely when she realized she had been sleeping across his lap.
She jolted out of his lap, laughing in a mixture of hysteria and nervousness.
Tokoyami chuckled.
"It's fine, Kousaki."
She yawned again and ran a hand through her blue hair.
"So since you're finally awake", Tokoyami started to say slowly.
"Hmm?"
"I talked to your mom. You're not going back to America."
Kitsune burst into a wide grin as she lit up. She jumped onto him, giving him the biggest hug she could muster.
"Thank you so much!", she said, already on the verge of tears.
"Anything for you", he said softly, "But now i must ask you something."
"What?"
"Would you like to accompany me on a little rendezvous?"
"In my hometown, rendezvous means date", Kitsune said with a cheeky smile.
"If that's what you want to call it, then sure. We're going to the park."
Kitsune clapped her hands together excitedly.

He was going to do it.
