The Healer and Destroyer: PART 1 [Alex Summers/ Havok]

12. "You too."

After waking up in Alex's room and being very confused for a few seconds I realized what happened last night and the fact that the day has finally come although finally isn't a word that I think I should be using since finally can mean a multitude of things such as an ending.

I tried to sneak out of his room without waking him up but I failed tremendously. He mumbled something that I couldn't understand.

I slowly turned around to see him still laying on the bed, "What?" I whispered.

He smiled a sleepy smile and walked over to me, "I- I wanted to say something." He stuttered. His smile faded as he tried to find the words.

I nodded for him to continue, placing my hands on his arms as his hands wrapped onto my arms too. "You look good in my shirt." He smirked. I laughed and looked down to see me in his ugly maroon shirt. Maroon is such a bad color but thats not the point. I knew that wasn't what he wanted to say.

"What did you really want to say?" I smirked but his face was blank.

We stood there for a little before he finally spoke again, "When I say this, I mean it with all my heart and that is... I- I love you. Like so much." He mumbled before looking to the ground then into my eyes. I was taken aback, truly not expecting that to come out of his mouth.

When I first met him he was stuck up and had the whole bad boy mood going on for him but throughout the time we spent together I managed to change him. To actually express his feelings and be human. Well human-ish being that we're mutants.

"Thea?" He questioned. I nodded, "I um, yeah. You too." I started. "Sorry." I then shook my head. He nodded before stepping back with our arms dropping off of each other.

"Charles needs us downstairs by 9." I whispered, glancing at the clock next to the bed that said 8:07 then glancing at him and walking out of the room.

"What the fuck is wrong with me?" I mumbled to myself once I left the room and made my way to mine in order to get ready.

Approximately 45 minutes later I ran downstairs to the lab where everyone else was waiting except for Hank and Sean which Sean being late didn't surprise me at all.

10 minutes later Sean finally showed up with a sucker in his mouth which he bit off before throwing the stick to the side. That made Charles angry for trashing his mansion. I slightly laughed, going over to Sean's trash, picking it up.

"There's a trash can in every room, you couldn't of waited?"

He looked at me then the stick in my hand. "Nah." He spoke with a rapid shake of his fluffy hair. I shook my head at him, "You're a literal child." We laughed before he nudged Alex to his right.

"Aye man. What's up with you?" He asked due to the blank expression on Alex's face. Alex ignored him walking forward to the rest of the group as Charles grabbed a note on the labs door.

Hank told us to meet him but the one person we were expecting to see wasn't there hence the note on the door I presume.

"Where's Hank?" Sean asked before him and I fully stepped into the room with the others. The room was completely trashed with pieces of glass and books covering the floor along with the desks all turned over smashed and dented.

"What the hell happened here?" Erik spoke, asking the question we were all wondering.

Charles walked to the chest with a giant X on it before opening it as we all huddled around him. I stared down into it before huffing silently which turned out not to be so silent after all.

"Hank has been busy." Erik said making Raven and I look up at him then at each other with a pained expression. I don't think she was excited about what was in the trunk, I wasn't either.

"Do we really have to wear these?" Alex asked from beside me making me raise my eyebrows, "It appears so." I muttered feeling him tense next to me.

Charles began speaking making me just stare at the suits more intensely and think, why those colors? Out of all colors in the world, why did he pick those two?

"I suggest we suit up." Charles finished before shutting the chest and leading us out.

We all went our different ways in order to suit up, "Hey are you okay?" Raven asked as she zipped up her suit. I snapped my head over to her, "Yeah I'm fine." I lied.

Every time I close my eyes I picture something bad happening. Either someone dying or getting seriously hurt and now I have even more on my mind from what Alex said to me.

"I mean. No." I muttered. She stepped closer to the door before opening it. I stepped out with her and began walking to where the others were.

"Alex?" She questioned. I nodded quickly, deciding to talk about that rather than the nightmares I have of everyone dying.

"He. I. I mean we-" I began.

"Oh my god." She started laughing but questioned me more wondering what I was thinking about. We walked into the airbase where the others stood waiting, the thought getting pushed away. I looked at Raven, "It's nothing, never mind." And I walked away, towards the others.

"Wheres Hank?" Raven asked.

"I'm right here." A voice rung as a figure started approaching us.

"Hank?" Charles questioned as a blue fuzzy man appeared into the light giving us all a better look at him.

"It didn't attack the cells, it enhanced them." Hank spoke looking down at his feet. "It didn't work." He said defeated before Raven reassured him but that quickly ends with Erik patting him on the shoulder, "Never looked better man." He spoke followed by Hank aggressively latching onto Erik's throat in attempt to choke him.

Hank growled getting closer to Erik's face, "Don't. Mock. Me."

"Jesus. Hank!" I yelled.

"Hank put him down immediately please. Hank. HANK." Charles demanded just as he let go of Erik's throat making Erik fall to the ground to gasp for air.

"I wasn't." Erik spoke looking up at the furry beast.

"Even I gotta admit you look pretty badass. I think I gotta a new name for you. Beast." Alex smirked making me smile at Hank followed by me nodding.

"I like it, it fits." I spoke making my way over to the air craft and observing it. Sean stood by me making a joke that a giant blue fuzz ball is going to fly us around. I tried not to laugh for Hanks case but I failed.

"Shut up or Hank is going to choke you out like Erik." I whispered before walking to the other side where Alex was staring at me with an intense watchful eye. Sean walked around the jet still observing it making Alex shoot a glare to him too.

I shook my head.

"You sure you can fly this thing?" Sean asked looking over to Hank. He sighed once again, "Course I can. I designed it."

IM GOING TO TRY TO UPDATE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TIS NEXT MONTH BECAUSE IM GOING TO BE MIA FOR LIKE TEN DAYS BECAUSE OF VACAY SO PREPARE FOR UPDATESSSSS

also wtf is up with Thea and Alex constantly having drama or tension between them, I guess we'll just find out soon MUAHHAHAHAHAHA ew lol okay cringe
