Charles began yelling trying to get ahold of Erik but nothing was working. He began to get frustrated as I stood next to Raven who looked worried.
I looked out of the small window to see Sean laying on the ground and Alex diffracting Angel with his rings. Apparently Hanks device didn't last long.
I ran in their direction just as Angel tumbled to the ground making Sean laugh in joy. I smiled as I stopped behind them, one down multiple to go. I began to take a step forward when someone latched onto the back of my hair pulling me backwards into the person.
"Not so fast." Riptide spoke as he tightened his grip on my hair making me squeal in pain.
Sean and Alex whipped around to see Riptide holding onto me as I struggled in pain. They tried to run towards us but Riptide held up his hand to stop. I nodded the little that I could at the boys before he started to form a tornado again and send it towards them.
I quickly forced my hands down creating a forcefield around the two of us trapping the storm inside. This is my weakness, I knew that I could die but I had to prevent Riptide from hurting anyone.
The air began to get thinner and thinner as the tornado was creating too much wind. I could feel Riptide let go of my hair from his own mutation being used against him. As I began to get lightheaded and my vision blur, the forcefield vanished making me fall to the ground to catch my breath.
Riptide was already began running off to catch his breath too.
Alex rushed to my side pulling me up before being joined by Sean, Hank, and Raven. We all shared glances with each other in order to ask if we were alright, thankfully we were minus a few injuries that we all had but I began to heal them by holding onto them for support.
Sean's knee was no longer dislocated, Hank's shoulder popped back into place as well as a few of his bruises completely disappearing, Alex's chest started to cool down from the lack of his metal shield that Angel happened to burn off and Raven's leg slowly started to heal as well but by doing this I began to get weak. I needed to focus on healing me before I could heal anyone else.
But that wasn't the case, I was moving backwards by healing them I was gaining their pain. They had no idea what I was doing until Sean's knee popped back into place.
"Thea stop. I can heal on my own. We all can, you need to focus on yourself right now." Sean spoke making them all glance at me which I followed with a nod.
We all latched onto each other making our way over to the submarine where a lifeless Shaw hovered out of followed by Erik. He dropped Shaw's dead body to the ground before slowly hovering down himself.
"Take off your blinders brothers and sisters. The real enemy is out there." He spoke pointing to the multiple ships all facing towards us.
"I feel their guns moving in the water. Their metal targeting us. Americans, Soviets, Humans. United in their fear of the unknown." He continued but all I could wonder is if he was telling the truth, that their guns were targeting us, who were just trying to help.
"Go ahead Charles." He directed making Charles place his fingers to his temple looking out towards the ships. By the change of expressions on his face I knew that we were in fact being targeting, that they were going to fire on us.
Charles nodded towards Moira sending her running towards the plane in hopes to call off the ships but in reality, there was no hope.
Loud bangs and gun fires sounded followed by missiles filling the sky all coming towards us. I tightened my grip onto Alex as his did around my waist, "Shit." I mumbled under my breath as we watched them get closer and closer.
