The Healer and Destroyer: PART 1 [Alex Summers/ Havok]

13. "Peachy keen."

The entire flight over to Cuba my hands were shaking. I didn't know how this was going to start and I didn't know how it was going to end and I don't know which one bothered me the most. The shaking of my hands began to bother me, as well as probably everyone else so to distract myself I ran my fingers through my hair but it still didn't help.

Alex sat next to me, he was still ignoring me but I could tell he was nervous too. I didn't even notice but my leg started bouncing making him look over to me and sigh.

"Relax." Alex hushed before grabbing onto my hand. "We'll be okay."

I smiled, trying to make my leg stop bouncing. This made him laugh, "Take a deep breath. We're all going to be okay." He spoke, this time emphasizing on 'all'. This made me feel a little better as I took a deep breath as he rubbed circles into the back of my hand.

"It looks pretty messy out there." Hank abruptly spoke making me shoot my head over to Charles who lifted his fingers to his temple.

"Crew of the Aral Sea is all dead. Shaw's been there." He spoke making me bite my lip and repeat the words 'its fine' to myself in my head. I'm sure Charles heard me talking to myself in my head because he looked over to me and nodded, him and his telepathy. Always knowing what everyones thinking.

I smiled at him before looking at Alex who now had the same expression I did, worry.

"He's still here. Somewhere." Erik spoke.

"He set the ship's course to the embargo line."

"That ship crosses the line our boys are going to blow it up and the war begins." Moira spoke from the passenger pilot seat.

"Unless they're NOT our boys." Charles spoke making me even more nervous. Starting to wish everyone would stop speaking. I ripped off the headset that we were all wearing in order to distract myself with all the access noise filling the plane. Needless to say, it didn't work. My thoughts still flooded my brain.

"It'll be alright. Just do what I say and watch each others back." A voice rung in my head and I knew it was Charles. I looked back up to him where he was giving me one of his brilliant and reassuring smiles. I nodded before putting the headset back on and waiting for whatever is to come next.

I brought my legs up into my seat and tried to get comfortable but also stay calm. Sean's leg started to bounce across from me which made my concentration to stay calm utterly fail.

"Sean." I spoke softly as he snapped his head towards me.

"Sorry. I'm just freaking out a little." He scratched at his neck. "How did you calm down?" He asked hoping I would give him some advice to help him.

I glanced at my hand in Alex's before looking back to Sean. He nodded, "Yeah I don't have that." He slumped back into his seat and seconds later his leg continued to bounce.

I laughed slightly before looking back to my hand in Alex's. I smiled at this, knowing what I was feeling was true and special. I looked at his face, he seemed really calm minus the clenching of his jaw every once and a while.

"Why are you staring at me?" He asked with a cheesy grin.

I returned it and whispered, "Not staring, just admiring."

He opened his mouth to say something just as an alarm started ringing in the plane. Seconds later we were being flipped upside down plummeting to the water's surface. My heart started racing and my body clung to the seat I was sitting in.

"Forcefield now." Charles spoke to me through telepathy. I swallowed the lump in my throat and shot my hands down creating a giant forcefield around the plane. My screaming filled the air as Alex's arm shot across my chest holding me down more.

Once the plane was right side up again my screaming halted as my hands fell into my lap. Everyone glanced over to me in amazement since that has been the biggest forcefield I've managed to create.

"Brilliant." Charles spoke with a smile.

"A little warning next time Professor." Hank spoke turning around to look at Charles who nodded, "Sorry about that."

"You alright?" He proceeded to ask looking over to Raven and Sean then Erik, Alex, and I. "Oh yeah, peachy keen." I mumbled making him smirk and Alex laugh slightly.

(i made a couple changes because i re watched the movie and the name of the ship was different mostly because i couldn't understand Charles lol but i fixed it just in case anyone noticed!!!

kinda a random and abrupt ending but I'm trying to make more chapters in the book also sorry it's short, again, trying to make more chapters in the book!!!!

alsooooooooo who's excited for the next chapter, it's about to get INTENSEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
