(Grievous is very OC in this story, I'm sorry, but I hope you still like it)
An ear piercing scream escaped your throat as you shot up from a Nightmare. You panted as You looked around, you're in your room, you were safe. You sighed, laying down again.
The nightmares of your parent's death were getting worse with each night. Tears were cascading down your face as silent sobs echoed through the room. After some crying, you decided, that a walk would relax your nerves. Without changing into proper clothes, you walked through the ship of you master. You stepped infront of a window that showed the space.
"Why are you awake at his time?", the raspy voice of your master echoed behind you. You turned around, looking straight into the yellow reptillian eyes of General Grievous. 'Oh shit.', you thought. "N...Nothing, I was just walking around." Your master frowned. "In your nightgown?" "Y..Yes?"
Grievous made a low 'Hmmm', obviously not believing you. "Well then, continue to 'walk around'." Your master left, and after he was out of sight, you let out a sigh of relief. After some time looking at the space outside, you walked back to your room. But what you didn't know that your were followed.
Grievous didn't know what brought him to follow you. He noticed that you were acting weird, locking yourself away, or looking at the space for hours. For some reason, it worried him. After he left you standing in the hall, he was hiding in the next corner, and waited for you to leave. As you did, he silently made his way after you.
Dream: You were running away from the attackers with your parents. They shot with Blasters after you. To make matters worse, they were also throwing explosives after you. Suddenly, a blast hit your mum. A cry of pain left her throat as she fell. You and your father turned around and ran to her. "Mum!", you cried. "Run.", she said to you and your father. "We are not leaving you here, M/N.", your father cried.
Tears were runing down all of your cheeks. "I told you to RUN", your mum cried and pushed you and your father away with the force. (Your mother was force-sensitive) It was only then when another explosive hit her, tearing her body apart within seconds. "MUM!" "M/N!", you and your father cried. As the smoke faded, you spotted three men with Blasters in their hands.
Without hesitation, they shot, missing you by a few inches, but not your father. He got a straight blow in the head. A last cry left his lips, as he fell to the ground. :Dream End
You shot up, screaming your lungs out again. Loud sobs echoed through the room as you cried your heart out. "Mum, Dad! I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry!", you screamed as you burried your face in your pillow.
Suddenly you felt something touch your shoulders. A gasped left your lips and you looked up, looking in the eyes of General Grievous. You shrinked back as your master raised a hand, expecting a punch or a slap of some sort, but all you felt was a metallic finger wiping your tears away.
You looked into your masters eyes, expecting a look of hate and disgust, but all you saw was worry. "M...Master.", you asked though your sobs. He slowly sat down at the edge of your bed, picking you up in the process, setting you on his lap. You curled up there, sobbing into his chestplate while he slowly strocked your back. After some crying, you looked up to Grievous again. The worry has changed into strange softness.
"I...I'm so sorry, M...Master.", you struggled hard to get these words out of your mouth. "No need to be sorry for.", he gurred. "What happened that you are in such vulnerable state?" That's when you broke. You told him everything. The death your parents, the nightmares, everything. You expected him to be mad, to slash out, pulling you from his lap and yelling at you for being so weak, but he, surprisingly, pulled you into a hug.
"Why are you d...doing this M...Master?", you asked with a still shaking voice. Grievous gently growled before anwering. "Do not ask me why, but I couldn't bear the fact of you beeing in such emontional pain. I have noticed that you changed, you were locking yourself away from the world. You are a great and strong fighter, but you grew unfocused. But now I know why. I understand you."
You confused look came upon your face. He seems to notice your confusion. "When I was still a kid, my mother died in a fire, while me and my father were out hunting. I blamed myself for a long time. I believed it was my fault that my mother died because I wasn't there to save her, so I had nightmares about it. I grew more depressed with each day, until my father told me that there was nothing what I could have done." "I'm sorry about your mother." You shook your head as more tears started to from in your eyes.
"But I was there. I could have changed the fate of my parents." Grievous shook his head in disagreement. "How old were you at that point?", he asked as he whiped away the tears that had escaped. "F...Five.", you sobbed. "See? You were still a kid, you could done no damage to a group of full grown and trained men, so stop blaming yourself." You nodded slightly, pushed yourself from his lap and laid down again.
Grievous stood up and started to walk to the door, but your soft voice, which was still a bit rough from crying, stopped him. "Please stay, just for tonight." The cyborg let a heavy sigh out of his throat, but turned around and walked back. He sat down again and began to sroke your hair. It didn't take long for you to fall asleep, you listened to your master's heavy breathing as everything around you grew quiet, and soon, a pleasant dream about your master came in your mind. Your master, General Grievous.
(This was my first story in English, I hope I didn't make too many gramatical mistakes.)
