It all happened too fast. He failed to save you. The blaster hit your stomach after you pushed him away, saving his life. Blood gushed out of your mouth, your breathing failed. You felt two large metal-hands grab your heavy shoulders. Even in your blurred vision, you could make out two golden reptilian eyes staring at you, filled with grief, shock and pain.

"M-Master...", you croaked out. "Do not talk. Spare your strength. Please!", his metallic voice was shaky, filled with panic.

Grievous held onto you. He didn't care that the Jedi still had the blaster in his hands, he didn't care if he got to see his soft side, all he cared about now was you, who laid dying in his arms. He knew there was no way to save you. "Thank you f-for training m-me, m-master." Grievous winced at the weakness in your voice. "S-Stop it.", he wheezed, coughing afterward. "I-It's my life for y-yours. I-I know i-it's selfish, b-but p-please, d-don't forget me, o-okay?!", you leaned forward, kissing his mask, then all strength left you, you went limb in Grievous arms.

Obi-Wan stood there, shocked. He looked at you both. Tears were streaming down Grievous metal-face and he was breathing heavily. "Grievous...", he began, not really knowing what to say. "Leave!", the cyborg barked. "Just leave...", he didn't have the strength to yell at the Jedi now, all he wanted to do was stay here with you.

He pressed his face to your neck, his eyelids touched your now cold skin. Obi-Wan did not move, he couldn't. He was too shocked. Seeing the general so broken is something new. He knew you both were a feared duo, but he didn't know you were this close. Finally, the Jedi moved, throwing the blaster to the floor. His steps were fast. "I'm sorry, Grievous.", he whispered to the griefing cyborg before he left him alone to cry.
