You groaned as you awoke from your sleep, rubbing your eyes before slowly opening them, blinking a few times as the bright light hurt your head. Slowly you sat up, running your fingers through your hair, shaking your head before you forced your still tired body to stand up. From brightness outside, you knew it was past midday.
You turned her head to look at the massive t-rex that was snoring quietly, her/his eyes still closed, and you could not stop the smile that was slowly appearing on your face. Seems like you were not the only one who was tired as hell after the successful hunt yesterday.
You left the cave, walking directly to a small waterfall to wash. Even though you already cleaned the blood off yesterday before eating, you still needed to wash your hair. Hunting with a t-rex was messy, especially if your territory is in the middle of the woods and the beach. You sighed as you slowly got rid of your clothes, getting under the clear liquid to clean the sand off. It felt wonderful.
As you were "showering", you also took the opportunity to wash your clothes, making sure that most of the bloodstains were gone before squishing them out. You put them back on before walking over to the small hut you build, grabbing a pickaxe to get more rocks to build a house out of it. As cozy as the cave was, there still lived a giant t-rex in it, and if T/N (t-rex name) has a nightmare and snaps at you, you'll have some serious problems.
You knew that your giant reptile, who was like an oversized teddy bear in your opinion, would never harm you on purpose, but it was still dangerous considering her/his size to yours. Just as you wanted to go the beach where you have found quite a lot of the required material, you suddenly felt heavy stumping vibrating through the island you were on, and you turned your head to look at the dinosaur that slowly came out of the cave, yawing as s/he did so.
"Morning T/N.", you greeting her/him and walked over to the giant lizard, who purred and leaning down. Gently, s/he licked your face, careful not to hurt you in any way due to your small size. You laughed and patted her/his snout, your fingers dancing over the rough surface of the scaly skin. "I'm glad to see you too. I was just on my way to the beach. Wanna come along?" T/N huffed right into your face and began to walk to make her/his way over to the favorite place of her/his territory.
"Hey! Wait for me!", you called after your giant friend, running after her/him. You heard a sound that almost sounded like a laugh.
---
The soft breeze hit your face as you forced the leaves covering your way to the side, and you took a deep breath, smiling softly. "Ah, how wonderful.", you spoke and reached out for T/N, who had stopped right beside you. S/he also took a deep breath and huffed right into your face before licking it softly. You giggled, rubbing his/her snout before making your way to the large rock, your pickaxe in hand, ready to swing. The t-rex walked away, but that didn't bother you. You knew that s/he was probably only looking for food.
A good hour passed, and your bags were full. You were ready to go home, but the hot weather and the cool water brought you to an idea.
You set your bag down, got rid most of your clothes so that you were only in underwear, and followed your fe/male beast. You decided to have some fun at the beach. It was a wonderful day after all, and you deserved a break. S/he was far ahead of you, but because of her/his large size, s/he was difficult to miss. T/N was leaning down, so you knew that s/he caught something, and you got curious of what it was.
It took you quite a while, but s/he soon lifted her/his head as your voice finally reached her/his ears, and s/he made a strange sound. You stopped, blinking a few times, crocking your head to the side in pure confusion. Strange...had s/he found something? S/he usually made this sound when s/he found something that did not belong to this island.
You started running again, making your way to her as fast as you could. T/N waited patiently for you, continuing to make that sound, before nudging the thing laying on the floor.
You were out of breath, leaning against her/his leg, taking deep breaths before closing your eyes while trying to focus on the soft breeze of the wind that brought the salty scent of the ocean surrounding the island you were on, before you reopened them, and stared at the "intruder".
It was a body. Not a human body, no, a body entirely made of metal, half ripped apart, the organs hidden under the normally cold – now hot because of the islands heat – hard surface. The fe/male t-rex nudged it, licking it softly, clearly curious of what it was. You, too, could not help yourself and leaned down to inspect the creature laying on the ground.
Was it a robot? No, a cyborg maybe? You have been on this island for so long, you have almost forgotten about the world that was outside of this. You touched its chest, letting your fingers caress the slimy surface of the exposed gut sack, before you kneed over it, mentioning for your friend to take a few steps backwards. As wonderful as s/he was, s/he did what you asked for so that you could have enough space to do whatever you liked. You were glad that s/he was of curious nature, or else this being would be already dead.
"It's breathing.", you muttered under your breath, your fingertips still dancing over the soft gut sack. You could feel it, the soft rising and falling of it, and if you closed your eyes and concentrated, you could feel its heartbeat. It was alive, but barely, and it needed help, and that fast.
"T/N!", you called the t-rex, who was drinking out of the small lake nearby, huffing at the small Raptor, who immediately retreated. S/he turned her head to you, crocking it to the side before walking over, staring at you expectantly. You sighed and patted the being, before standing up, mentioning for her/him to lean down. "Come on, let's bring him home."
