You, Experiment ED79, were a monster of an organic creature, created through human- and animal-genetic codes by accident. You had a thin body, long, sharp claws that are attached on spiderlike hands, s/c skin and glowing e/c eyes with a hint of red.

Everyone, including your creator, was afraid of you and tried to kill you on sight. As their weapons failed against your unbreakable skin, that was able to resist a heat which could be compared to lava, they caught you, stuffing your tall body inside of a cage, chaining you on the wall and floor through your neck.

Being and imprisoned and hungry, you reacted like every creature in your situation would, roaring and letting out keening sounds, trying to break free. Years of abuse and hunger passed with you growing weaker every day, slowly giving up hope. Your only friend was a young soldier which was send for the doctor's protection. He discovered you the same day he arrived, immediately having pity for your current state, giving you some of his daily meal.

After a year and a half, he gained your trust enough for you to let him near you, to touch your rough skin, to calm you on mere sight. As long as the soldier named Calvin was not needed, he spent his time with you, running his finger through your hair, like today.

You laid on the floor, your head in his lab, the young man drawing soft circles on your bare back.

You hardly wore any clothes, only having some things to cover your private parts, but that's it. A reason why you were sick the most of your life, causing your foul mood and a part of your aggressivity to grow with each passing moment.

You never had any hopes to break free from your chains, to feel freedom, to live it, to eat and drink food and water instead of that junk your hated creator gave you.

Your thoughts were interrupted when Calvin patted your back, tracing one of your many scars with his gloved fingers. "You think about space again, don't you?", you nodded, your eyes giving a soft e/c glow. You weren't able to speak, you just didn't have the organs to from words, but you could communicate through your gestures and noises.

"My job is done here soon, my friend.", the soldier suddenly said, causing you to gasp, whimper and grasp his hands, fear running through your body. He was going to leave?

Noting your pure distress, he gave you a soft kiss on your head, calming you immediately. "I have contacted my commander, asked him where he thinks you would survive on your own. He found a beautiful planet stuffed with forests, rivers and many other things I'm sure you like. So, bag your things, girl, you're getting a new life in just two days."

What? Freedom? A planet...a life away from your creator? Slowly, your mouth curled up into a sharp smile. You made a loud, happy voice, hugging him, nearly crushing his rips in the process. Two days, you would have to wait two day for your new life...but since you have waited years...there was no problem to wait a few hours longer.

----

The day has finally come...the day you got a new life. The first time that you got to see space, the first time you got to get out of your cage, the first time you got to be free. You roared out in joy as you stepped out of your cell, jumping onto the wall, digging your claws into the metal easily, climbing to up to the ceiling, taking in your surroundings from a completely new ankle. Calvin laughed, a smile on his face which turned into a snarl as he eyed the scientist who were hugging each other, shaking in fear.

"Come on, girl. Let's get you out of here." You made chirping noise and crawled after your friend, grinning the whole time. Finally, you were free.

Your eyes were larger than the force of an explosion of a supernova as you saw space. It's beautiful colors, its glory...all those things what you were hidden from so many years. A low noise escaped your throat as the grin transformed into a soft smile, making you look almost human, the stars and planets sparkling in your beautiful e/c/red eyes and you pressed a clawed hand against the gals that was the only thing that separated you from the endless space.

Finally, you were free, and you were more than ready for a new life.
