You barked orders into the communicator as your soldiers ran around the battlefields and shot as many enemies down as they could. You aimed and shot a young woman, that just wanted to attack, right into her head, ending her life.
You rolled your eyes at her naivety and kicked her body away. You soldiers walked behind you, not daring to argue against your kills. They knew if they wanted to win this war, then killing would be necessary.
"Further!", you roared over the field, earning a "Yes, general!", in return. With a roar, the jets flew over your head and released the bomb attached to it right over the main part of the enemy's army. The environment was drowned in a harsh light, and heat hit you right into the face, giving you slight burns.
As soon as you could see again, you watched the chaos unfold around you. Screams for mercy or help echoed through the are, and your glare only softened a little bit. "General?", one of your soldiers ran up to you, and you turned your head towards them, your eyes returning to that cold glare which you were famous for.
"We have eliminated most of the forces and are now on the way to their main station. Shall we destroy it immediately or shall we look for prisoners of our side first?", he asked. "Every man is dear to us, my friend. Of course, we're going to look for them. As for the soldiers that stand in your way...rip them apart." "Yes, sir."
---
"Attack!", you hissed at the three soldiers that stood behind you, and they immediately dashed forward, their weapon firing bullets, killing the enemy. As their bodies fell to the ground, you move on, your eyes fixed on the door that would lead to the dungeon.
You shot the keypad, and it opened. You and the three soldiers pushed past it, and you soon, the enemy cried out in alarm. "Kill them!", you roared and began to shoot. Your people did as you wanted, and shot them down.
"Search for any prisoners, if they belong to our people, save them." "What shall we do with the others!", the female soldier asked/yelled, and looked at you. "Take them as prisoners. They could hold the information that we need!"
They dashed forward, everyone going into another direction, you included. Your steps were fast but coordinated, as you opened door after door, having the "special area", as those fools always say, in mind. A prison, where they only held the most dangerous enemies.
There even was a cell reserved for you, but you never let yourself be caught, and if they managed to corner you, you always found a way to get rid of them. The halls were larger than you imagined, and each one of your steps echoed through the air. You heard them, the cries of mercy, the ones of that they had family that was waiting for them at home.
You rolled your eyes, not feeling pity for them. You were known as a cold-hearted warlord for nothing, and those were one of those moments where you could only be disgusted by their weakness. Suddenly, your communicator made a noise.
You rose your eyebrow under your helmet and took the call. "Commander L/N, we have found some inquire people that you should take a look at. They're not human!" "What do you mean with that, soldier?", you hissed, not quite believing what you heard. "Those "creatures" are not human. I don't know what they are, but they don't look dangerous."
"Are they slaves?", you asked. "They say they are, yes." "They're speaking our language?" "No, sir, only one of them seems to understand us!" "Then take them with you!" You ended the call before they could ask more.
The cries for freedom turned into cries of fears as soon the people recognized you, and you could even see that some of them were pressing themselves against the walls, already shivering in fear. You made a disgusted noise, that walked passed them, glaring at each prisoner...until one made you stop in your tracks.
You took a step towards the cell and leaned forward, you grip on the weapon tightening in case this "thing" inside decides to attack. "What in god's name?", you breathed. You slowly went around the cell, careful to not miss one move this thing made.
Was this a robot? If yes, why did they lock it in here? This makes absolutely no sense. You shook your head, shooting the keypad, opening the cell-door. Suddenly, it moved, and its head slowly started to turn towards you. Your expression stayed unresponsive, even though you wore a helmet.
Gorgeous golden reptilian eyes stared at you, dull and tired, blinking a few times before the pupil focused on you. A wheezing sound echoed through the air, and suddenly, it turned its head away and coughed into its clawed hands.
You stepped forward, but it, different from the other fools, didn't flinch back but stayed where it was. Even though it was sitting on the floor, it was huge. Its metallic body was leaned against the wall, the head back, and those eyes more or less focused on you.
Your cold e/c eyes stared back, narrowing to dangerous slits. Whatever this creature - you now knew that it was alive, was, it was going to come with you. "Stand up.", you hissed and crossed your arms over your chest. It didn't react, only turned its head away from you, closing its eyes.
"Are you deaf? Stand up!", you hissed at it, again, getting no reaction. A good minute passed, and the only sound that was heard was the metallic being's wheezing, that seemed to have gotten louder. You sighed, realizing that it wasn't going to move a muscle - if it even had one - and walked forward.
Reaching behind your back to get another weapon out, loaded it, and got closer. It made no move to attack you, only its wheezing got harder, and before it could even react, you dashed forward and shot the injection into its neck. It made a small noise, then, you watched how that golden iris fell back, and the head fell against the bars.
You activated your communicator and spoke, "I need eight soldiers, there's one more to take with us."
---
Hours have passed, and you were the medical area, getting your wounds tented that you got in the fight before breaking into the prison. Your eyes never left the creature that laid on the bed a few feet away from you, and you couldn't help but be worried about its safety. As you and your soldiers carried it away, you were worried that it wouldn't make it.
The doctor had to reanimate it when it arrived. Whatever happened to it, it probably had been pure torture.
"This is fascinating!", the doctor spoke loudly, causing you to wipe your head into his direction. "What is?", you asked in your cold tune, and rose an eyebrow. jumping off the table as soon as the nurse was finished, giving her a dismissing nod earning one in return.
"Almost its whole body is replaced by cybernetics. His organs are held in some sort of sack filled with an organic fluid. This is...this is...", he shook his head and gave you the datapad he worked with, watching your face for a reaction.
He got one. Your face twisted in surprise and your cold eyes widened ever so slightly as you took in his skeleton and how he was built, agreeing with the doctor. "Yes, this is...new." You shook your head and sighed. "But what has caused this state of his?"
The doctor gave a long sigh and sat down. "He was infected with some sort of poison that slowly killed him. Since he doesn't have that much blood. It was quite easy to get out, there's nothing left, and he's stable."
"Good work!", you praised and turned to the as you now knew cyborg, crossing your arms. "Commander!", one of your soldiers, who, too was in the room with you, addressed you and stared and walked up to you.
"As I know you, I know you'll stay with this creature until it wakes up, so I ask you, not as your partner, but as your friend, should a bring you a blanket, overnight it gets really cold in here."
You nodded. "Yes, that would be wonderful. Thank you.", your voice was softer, but your eyes stayed colder than ice. She sighed and walked out of the room, and sat down next to the cyborg, your eyes fixed on his face.
After a few minutes, the soldier returned and walked over to you, holding a blanket. "Thanks.", you said, and wrapped it around your body, before signaling her to leave. You had a long night ahead of you.
