Wonderful, it was just wonderful. Everything around was just so.... new. You jumped of the ship, your claws digging into the soft and slightly wet ground beneath you and made roared in fascination. Calvin, who was walking up to your crouching form, laughed softly, an honest smile on his scarred face. "So...", he said with a teasing tone in his voice, "I bet you like it?" You nodded your head, wagging you long tail in the process.
He touched your hair with care, his happy face turning into a frown. "But as beautiful as this forest is, my dear friend, it's not a safe place. I only brought you here because me and my captain think it suits you and that you will be able to survive. I probably won't return...that is why I want to know you safe." You nodded your head, raising your clawed hands in a comforting gesture, touching and rubbing his shoulder gently. Calvin understood and gave you a rather sad smile.
"Thank you...", he said, and you could already feel the familiar sting of the tears within your eyes. "Here...", he reached in his pocket and pulled out a necklace of gold, pressing it against you palm. "Take this. It'll be a reminder. This once belonged to my mother...but I want you to have it now." Your eyes widened in shock and you shook you head, but he nodded, not letting you escape without something that would remember you of him.
Carefully, he stroked your cheek and got the necklace on your neck. It was so tight that it would not disturb you when you would jump around in those deep wood, but loose enough for you to breath probably...and a perfect reminder of your first and only friend.
Goodbyes were always hard...yes, but at least you got a new life. Even if you never saw Calvin again, he would always be in your heart and you would certainly remember him. You both hugged one long, last time...then you let him go, a few tears escaping your eyes.
"Goodbye.", the last word he had ever spoken to you, then, he left. Some days later, he died on the battlefield, a smile on his face.
You, on the other hand, lived a happy life. You found a cave with a water source inside a huge mountain with just the right temperature to not make you sweat or freeze and the beautiful view you got from your favorite spot almost let you forget about your sad and abusive backstory...the only thing you wished for was that Calvin was still alive to see this.
Two wonderful years passed, you grew stronger, healthier and smarter and became the mightiest creature on the planet, known for your strength among the people who lived on the blue giant who was three times larger than many others in its solar systems.
They were scared of you, yes, but they at least respected you. They even gave you some meat when your hunts were not successful...in return, you did not harm their animals. It all was well...until one day...
At first, everything was normal. You awoke early that day, yawning as you opened your eyes. As you guided your sight upwards, the beautiful dawn shining right into your face. A gentle smile traced your lips as you stood up, your claws making clicking noises as you walked over to your favorite spot. You sat down, enjoying the soft breeze that washed over your still barely clothed body.
Yes, it was the dawn of a new, wonderful day. Sitting there for a few moments more, you viewed the forest, trying to find one of those large lizards called Jajiir or something familiar for breakfast, knowing the people of the village won't be awake before two hours. But suddenly, your eyes caught something else. Covered by leaves, you couldn't make out what it was...but you grew suspicious.
You held your nose in the air, sniffing...hmm...the smell was strange...but not unpleasant. It was a mixture of metal, flesh and faded burns...
Worry took its place into your chest...and you decided to check it out. With a huge jump, landing on a huge tree before diving into the river underneath, deciding to check the intruder out from there so he wouldn't see you immediately.
The closer you came, the stronger the smell got. Suddenly, a noise sounded behind the bushes, and you dove, your eyes still glued on the surface. It took one second...then, the stranger came into your view. It was a gigantic droid, larger than any of those you have seen before...even though you haven't seen much of those rusty idiots. Its plating was a beautiful silver, its frame itself...a strong and mighty gesture. Those strange weapons called lightsabers which one of those villagers introduced to you as you were laying sick in a room in his house, drinking the medicine he gave you.
Then suddenly, it turned around and you could get a better look at its faceplate.
It wasn't a droid, you knew the second you saw his sharp, golden reptilian eyes scanning his surroundings. Slowly, he took a large step closer to you hiding spot, grabbing his weapons, activating them. Your muscles tensed, and you bit your lip has he seen you? If yes, what was he going to do? Carefully, you dove a little deeper and swam between two trees that decided to grow within the water, waiting, preparing for a possible fight. The tension grew with each passing moment, your eyes were fixed on the cyborg.
Then suddenly, you heard a noise and caught a strange smell. It was...a human. You knew this scent too well, since your creator was one himself. What was a human doing on a planet like this? And more importantly, is he the reason why the cyborg was reacting so strangely? The noise turned out to be steps, slow, uneven steps that are slowly coming closer...but you knew you weren't the one being approached.
So, you waited...
...
...
And then it happened. A man jumped out of the bushed, too, pulling out a lightsaber, and attacked the cyborg. He roared and his weapons met the other, creating a sound that your ears greatly disapproved of. You hissed, covering your ears, eyes the battle from a safe distance. At first, the stranger that you spotted first seemed to win, but then the human did something you already had heard of...he used the force to push the cyborg back.
A growl left your throat as you watched the larger male barely catching himself before falling into the water, attacking again shortly after. This wasn't a fair fight! No, not at all.
The man...the human who had a smug expression on his face...had the ability to use this gift while the other had not, giving him the possibility to crush his enemy without a great fight or to push him into the water and let him drown. Slowly, you moved from your hiding spot, your claws digging into the earth, and sneaked up behind the human. Just as he pushed the cyborg, who probably missed to see you tough his rage, back, you grabbed his neck and threw him on the wet floor, making him cry out in shock and slight pain.
You attacked again, leaving him no time to stand up or to understand what was happening, pressing him against the tree, digging your long, merciless claws, which had grown over the years in his soft flesh, which immediately ripped, and blood soaked your fingers.
You roared, raising your hand, but before you could slash out again, he pushed you back into the water. Before you had the chance to stand up again and rip him apart, he ran. You growled after him, but soon the growling turned into a much softer noise as you faced the cyborg that was standing behind you, golden iris widened in shock.
