I bowed to you, my head held down respectively, showing you my submission. You stood there in your wide robes, your state proud and demanding, just like your former master taught you before he was killed by the Jedi-scum of the Republic.
"Stand up.", you told me coldly, and I did. You, being tall/small/regular high, were still/very small to my metallic frame.
" Come with me. I have something to discuss with you.", I followed you out of the throne room, walking up to a balcony, standing there with me, the cold night air hitting my eyelids.
You were starring in your kingdom, your face colder than eyes, but I saw that your mind was flooded with emotions.
You were almost flawless in hiding your emotions, but you make one mistake, you forgot to banish the feelings from your beautiful e/c iris. I can see fear, but what do you fear? You have everything! You are an excellent fighter, you own a kingdom and even I am here to protect you.
You never treated me as my other masters did. Despite the ice in your voice, you always treated me with respect. I see more than a master in you. In you, I see a friend I did not have since the shuttle-crash eons ago.
But my thoughts were interrupted by you looking at me.
"What are you thinking, master?", I asked in my deep, raspy and metallic voice. You shook your head and returned your stare down below. "I thought about you a lot last night, Grievous.", you told me suddenly, your beautiful voice still cold, but a hint of emotions was waving inside it.
I looked at you, my eyes narrowed in curiosity. "Why did you think about me last night?", I asked you, no emotion showing in my voice. " Will you ever betray me?", you suddenly asked. I was taken aback by the hurt sounding in your question. Why would you ever think that?
Are you questioning my loyalty?", I asked, my words were harsher than they were meant to. You sighed and nodded your head. "I question everyone's loyalty, Grievous. I never learned differently." My golden reptilian eyes were still narrowed, but I understood. So many soldiers and fighters betrayed you since your master's death, it was only normal you doubted anyone who came even near you.
"No! I will never betray you, master L/N." "Are you swearing that with your life?", you asked me, making me nod. "Yes, I swear with my life."
"Would you even show me your memories and thoughts?"
My pupils widened in surprise, but I agreed anyway. You came closer, so I bowed my head that you could reach the metallic forehead of my mask.
I felt how you slipped into my mind, but I did not pull away. If you need that kind of proof for my loyalty, then so be it.
I gave every memory I had, even some of my former life of being a kaleesh warrior.
You pulled away, I looked up and what I saw shocked me beyond my imagination. You smiled. It was bearly there and very weak, but still a smile that is shining in the dim light of the planet's two moons.
"Thank you...", you whispered, a soft tune in your voice. "Everything for you, master L/N.", I replied in the softest tone I could muster, wishing I could smile back.
