After that day we decided to forget that whole incident.Ben and I were relaxing on the couch watching Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince.Liu came down the stairs dressed in a suit with a gray shirt underneath.
"Oooh,schmancy," I awe. "Who are you going out with tonight?"
"My boyfriend Liam," he says.
"I want to meet this Liam!" I exclaim.
"Well,you can't," he shuts my idea down. "Unless we ever get married."
"You will marry him and live happily ever after!" I exclaim.
"Very funny Jen," he mumbles,leaving and slamming the door behind him.
I return to watching the movie. "I didn't know Liu was gay," Ben mumbles.
"Do you have a problem with it?" I question him.
"Well,yeah,yeah I do," he stands up. "He can't be gay.He'll go flirting with every guy in the house!"
"Well obviously he wouldn't do that since he has a BOYFRIEND!" I yell.I run up to my room and slam the door shut,locking it.I sit at the base of the door and cry.Why couldn't Ben accept this?Liu is an amazing person.Being gay doesn't mean that he's an outcast,any different from any of us.He's still the same Liu.
Ben just didn't understand.
